Poll Started 3 April 2007: What would you do with a dodgy note?
You discover you've been passed what you think's a fake £20 in your wallet/purse and aren't sure where it came from; which of the following options is closest to what you'd do?
A. Bin it. That's life!
B. Take it to the bank
C. Take it to the police
D. Try to pass it off as real in a shop

Would only try and palm it off onto a large, evil corporate machine, not a poor, innocent local business0

I find taxis the easiest place to pass off phony money.Nothing to see here, move along.0

I am curious what the Police or banks would do if we took a phony note to them?0
-
Am I a bad person for not wanting to keep hold of it? I mean, if I received it as change, then to give it to the bank or police would be a loss to me!
I received a phoney £10 in my change in a pub once and went back the following day and used it to buy a drink....is that ok???:beer:0 -

hmmm! Yes, would take it to Tesco! :rotfl:0 -
There is no way I could afford to lose £20 so I am afraid
I would be passing it on in a shop."Gort, klaatu barada nikto"

I've just seen the latest poll results
Are over half of MSErs really that crooked? Passing off a note you know to be a forgery is as bad as making it in the first place. Shame on you (as Al Murray would say). Can I help?0 -
I cant afford to loose £20, so i would take to a large store and try to get rid. Defo not a small shop or poor taxi driver0

I'd spend it in Tesco.
I wouldn't use it in a small business.
Definitely don't take it to a bank or building society, they are obliged to confiscate it & you'll be out of pocket.0 -
I'd donate it to charity.0
