well shes on her way home already. She fell off a rodeo bucking horse thing last night and broke half of her front tooth off. Managed to get her an emergency appointment at the dentist today. Not exactly the way I wanted her to come home :(

DS1 has been kicking his heels for a couple of weeks now as all his friends disappear to their respective universities. He's finally going on Sunday. The first week is freshers week and the rest of the university doesn't go up until the 8th. Looking at the program of events in college and further afield for this coming week he's going to be having a great time. *Jealous*

well it's been a week since my daughter left for uni and I think I've probably had more conversations with her via facebook/text/skype than I ever did when she was here lol.

Seeing her on Thursday was lovely (even under the circumstances lol) and once she got her tooth sorted she was so full of everything that she's experienced so far.

I know there are other uni's who are taking in freshers today so just thought I would bump the thread just in case anyone else is feeling today like I was last sunday.

All I can say is what a difference a week can make, of course I still miss her but it's fine now :) (that probably doesn't make any sense what so ever to anyone but me :o)

ooh up my way :D He'll be well looked after.

Whats he doing? (sorry if you've already said or would rather not say :) )

Edit, just realised how creepy that makes me sound. When I say well looked after I meant by the uni and the the general community. We are well used to students and are happy to help them find their way around lol

DS went on the 15th Sept. He has a casual job here at home as a Lifeguard, which he's kept on. He came home the following Friday to work and went back the Sunday. This week I met him for lunch (and a small food shop ;-) ) on Wednesday; he rang Thursday to say he was on his way home to go to work Thursday, worked Friday, went to footie with his Dad Sat and rugby today. I've not had chance to miss him yet and don't feel like he's moved out!

Lol, thanks looby, he's been bouncing off the walls for a couple of weeks now. He's doing Maths and Physics under the Natural Sciences umbrella. He's at St Aidan's college.

Mine is a 650 mile round trip. Don't think he'll be home before Christmas.
