Orange Nano Sim

Options
I am on a 12 month iPhone sim only contract with Orange which expires in June 2013. I am planning to buy the iPhone 5 as soon as I can but as you know, it uses a nano sim and I have a micro sim in my iPhone 4.

So I am wondering, will Orange give me a nano sim? Will they charge me for one? And how would I go about getting one?

    Hi Chris,

If you upgrade with Orange to the iPhone 5, they would supply you with a new 'Nano SIM', Orange will transfer your number over automatically.

People in the same situation as you when the iPhone 4 and 4S came out requiring them to use a micro sim, in pretty much all cases had to pay £20 for orange to replace the sim card, I suspect orange may do the same this time for a nano sim.
  • Orange will probably do better than GiffGaff who don't even have any nano Sims and say it might be a couple of months before they do!:

Me too. I don't want mine SIM-locked to Orange and to be tied into a long expensive contract with them. I'm happy paying £7.50/month on SIM-only and using local SIM cards abroad.

However, if you want 4G, then you'll need an EE SIM card, according to what Orange business customer services told me.

That doesn't help us until we've got our new nano-SIM and then want to use it in a phone that takes a micro-SIM or mini-SIM.

I know, I've posted it in the wrong thread.
