Well still waiting to hear if a big decision about staffing will be made, really hoping it goes the right way and then I may start sleeping at night!

    Fingers crossed HDK :)

Using admin staff a bit more etc. all sounds very logical. Self medication is all well and good once in a while, but it's definitely not a coping strategy. I've made a conscious decision not to drink when I've had a bad day any more, only when I've had a positive one.

Nurofen Plus is the answer, discovered by accident. Eight and a half hours sleep last night, about the same as an average week :rotfl:. Warning - can be addictive :(.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Still waiting for decision.. in meantime making use of current additional staff to do my chores. Ended up stopping and doing late again but did chuck teddy out and insisted on being paid OT. I would pay anyone else so why should I be expected to do it for TOIL? Esp as then I'm majorly behind, so as well as in bad books at home it makes me time short as well.

I agree Ed, not a particularly wise move although GG option sounds great!

Left work at 10am, took time owing as had a real bad headache which couldn't shift, had to pull up on way home to throw up, just got up and feel far more human.

Currently catching up on my surveys etc.

Theatre booked for tomorrow, the "slava snow show" which looked Christmassy.. Booked it a few weeks again when I felt I needed something as a family to look forward too.

Enjoying having all the laptops working.

  • Can't sleep, awake since 4...wouldn't mind but have weekend off and its not my turn to take the kids to music. So could have a lie in. Already have lots of notebook scribbles for what can do Monday.

  • Thanks Tilly

Went to Slava Snow Show this afternoon.. mmm. Well its definitely unique and something you wouldn't expect. Had no storyline / plot, appeared completely random sketch like performances but did have some really different audience participation. At times I thought OMG this is dreadful but then did stuff never seen before..

  • Ill be honest, I just didn't get it. So glad we had seats in the stalls as if not we'd have been watching the audience stuff rather than in it. My 2 youngest daughters enjoyed, which is always the main thing. Me and my oldest daughter clearly had similar thoughts. My husband face said it all ...
There was some brilliant bits, like the scene with the coat and the snow blasting out but everything felt so random and when the intermission finished, 90% of the audience didn't realise for at least 5 minutes, it was the same with the end.. do we leave now....?

I think I was expecting acrobatic snow men rather than Tramp like clowns...

Felt like an emperors new clothes moment.

    What can I say - I'm a simple soul:o I found it fun and very uplifting:D
But doesn't mean everyone would, that I totally accept. Hope you got a wee break from thinking so much for a while though.
