I play sax and i self taught clarinet. She will pick up sax really fast.
Hope you get a good one. Try to avoid bakelite mouthpieces- asbestos in them.

AJM, I was thinking of £100 tops, as although she is quite committed, her main instrument will always be clarinet. I'm not musical so finding a good instrument isn't going to be easy. Have a few on my ebay watch list. What would you suggest please? I also know that to get these things recorded or is it pads? Is a significant expense, as had to do dd3 last year (she also plays clarinet)
    Thanks xx

Thanks Alchemilla, she has been tinkering with a borrowed cornet to, but does keep going on about wanting a sax for Christmas. I pay for 4 lessons a week now (piano clarinet dd1 piano dd2 clarinet dd 3) so glad it's doable to self teach as no way can afford more. Dd1 also swaps one every other week for theory as needs her grade 5.

  • Ended up tapping a late shift onto my office day due to staffing but have a day off today. Have a walk with a friend then a brew with BF later, so all in all a nice day planned. Nice 8am lie in too.

Just watching taped HUTH whilst leisurely breakfast.

Now now ladies... Now lap top is finally working (having bought a new battery.. still not working... new charging cable ... yay, as absolutely no idea how to get a piccy on via kindle and even writing stuff is hard cos my fat fingers.

Other lap top unfixable, rang Dell, told me £80 to fix despite warranty. So my dad took it to someone "he knows" apparently 10 sections are bad.... (no idea what that means) anyway I rang Dell again today and said that really not happy, they did a hard ware (or hard drive??) test on it (or I did under their word by word guidance) anyway is their product not software so they have agreed to fetch it from my workplace on Thursday and fix. And yes, is covered.

Been a nightmare, 3 kids and no laptop working. My kindle has been on fire alright, have to search the house every time I want to use it and its permanently flat as Im sure only I know how to charge the thing.

Signed my full time 1 job contract yesterday, although critically short staffed at times so seem to get stuck doing extra shift far too frequently but hopefully at some point peace will reign... but then what will I do? I like chaos..

Have only a few quid left in my amazon account.. damn. And Christmas is coming.

Glad your back NP, hope your staying around....
