This will be my only comment on curtains because testosterone actively prevents giving a c@rp about such things :rotfl:

They're pretty classy curtains, but they look relatively light (i.e. they don't look like they'll help keep the place warm). If you have decent windows and drafts aren't an issue, I'm sure they'd do the job.

If your home is more like ours (often colder than outside!), then I'd go for something with a heavier lining (Harry Corry blackout type ones).

    That is all

Thanks WABL / Ed. This room is in the extension so draughts and windows not a problem, plus we have blinds too (DH can't get that I curtains would finish it off) so don't them for keeping room dark or for draughts.

Are also available slightly cheaper on ebay and I have some pay pal money left as well as a chunk of Amazon money (from surveys etc). They also sell the matching cushions, again available on Amazon and Ebay so could buy for "free" almost.

    Have done !!!
Bought the clarissa ones plus 3 matching cushion covers, thought would complement ones already have and I do love cushions. Had to pay out "CASH" (shock horror)as hadn't enough paypal dosh to cover (needed 90x90 and only on ebay that size) plus cushion covers a £1 cheaper each on ebay
Carpet should be delivered this pm and then fitter booked for Tuesday. hopefully curtains etc will be here by then.
So hopefully whole room make over for £700, including picture rail. Which is more than I hoped but really pleased so far and the carpet should last forever..
Its so nice to have to soon have it lovely, we were so broke at then end of the extension + renovation (had a very clear max borrow in mind and anything extra was from extra shifts at work), so had old curtains up and v cheap carpet that now looks horrid with always the intention to change as / when we could afford.
Have managed to use up all my ebay sales left over lolly as well as all my nectar points (through surveys etc) this saving about £60

Also bought new battery for other lappy as I think that's what's broke (AGC of course)
