Ended up doing long day clinical due to covering sickness. So now need to fit in 2 days work into 1.

Happy still waiting battery so have given up on adpoints and survey review sites as doing on kindle is too painful.

My decision would lead to working harder in challenging circumstances but my other option feels like a backward step. Having finished studying I am feeling antsy but also still acutely aware of how I felt 2 weeks ago. It would be fulltime in 1 post and therefore can concentrate energies in one place.

Quite a nice day at work, cleared quite a lot of jobs and have started the dreaded Christmas roster... still work in progress.

Only in Monday and Friday next week, although now toil not annual leave.

Stony broke but need a food shop, petrol and house insurance before payday, plus dd2 birthday next month. She wants a iphone5 so have had to explain that it's not going to happen.

Ordered a few Christmas bits from Amazon with my agc

Home insurance sorted, £33 cheaper than quote and through tcb.

Been shopping, ff and hb, freezer now full. Also quick matalan visit, girls had list, black socks, cardigan, leggings etc, gave them all a £20 limit, anything over was from pocket money. Had 10% money off voucher. Cc now groaning.

Chores done. Last coat done on bathroom ceiling. Sausage casserole cooking.

Dave saw some DVD s he fancied steered him away and hAve put on Amazon wish list to see if price drops, so he can have for Christmas

I had a similar conversation with Mrs E. Unfortunately I delivered it like she was a teenage girl and not my wife, so I got rightfully told off It can be difficult treading the line between a money saver and being a tyrant....

Do you ever use Camel Camel Camel? I put anything on there that I don't want to pay the current price for and check in once a week or so. Without meaning to sound like a conspiracy theorist, I'm convinced that @mazon etc. must have access to the data used by price tracking sites like that - prices remain static on low margin items for months, I create an alert and voila! price drop

So had a few days off over half term with Dave and kids. Managed to decorate our bedroom, plus now has coving so more in keeping with rest of house.

Job front. Moment of madness? Have took on job number 3 as substantive full time post on my own. Very difficult decision as is end of job share which have had since 2000, feels very strange. All happened today and feels very bizarre, pleased about having own ward but sad as well. Told my staff but not my old staff.

Money shuffle complete.
Reduced overpayments slightly but still on target, which is hit halfway for end of year.

Still have iphone middle daughter dilemma, have 3 weeks to solve. I am thinking perhaps say to her this amount is what you can have, you choose if you want to save it towards or buy a second hand one. Unfortunately several of her friends have but that's not a good enough reason. I have a very old payg phone, although also have a work BlackBerry. Her big sister has a BlackBerry on contract but it was a 2 birthday deal and the sum total was the amount I'd usually spend.

Over at other site for a meeting tomorrow so will try and pick up some of my stuff from old office as had obviously planned to return.

Currently not decorating as no spare cash to replace dd3 carpet so on hold till after Christmas.
Feel woefully unprepared for Christmas which is unlike me. Have been searching for a second hand saxophone for dd1 but keep going way more than I want to spend. Will keep looking, she plays clarinet and piano and wants to teach self saxophone as apparently similar to clarinet.

What sort of price do you have in mind? I play the saxophone so may be able to offer some advice.
