I think funeral mystery shops are probably the most important thing you can do to help someone else in their time of need. If it was a service for your family member and you werent thinking straight, how grateful would you be to the mystery shopper that came and secretly checked everything out for you before hand?

Thanks NewLeaf, what a lovely way to look at it. Your post has completely changed my perspective on the visits, and I have rang the company who have said that they will pay me £100.00 to do the four of them on Friday, which, taking on board Granny's advice, is well paid enough.
They should only take about 40 minutes each and are fairly local.
Clippy, your post has helped me too, thanks. I need to put in the extra effort now to get to my goal weight, before I can think about easing off into a maintenance strategy, and saving the £20.00 Weightwatcher fee. A big push up to Christmas and we can do this.
That is what I love about this site, wise people introducing me to other perspectives which are really useful to consider xx.Weight 12 st 2lb - Now 11 stone 1 lb (-15 lb)

Which MS firm has the funeral parlour visits? The MS I do always have the same things, and as I am trying (and failing) to lose some weight I don't want to do the Dominos mystery shops!
I have got a phone call booked for a £10 fee on Thursday and that's about it.Total Debt: £0 [STRIKE]£33,043[/STRIKE]

Hi Southernbelle, the funeral visits are with E*S*A, they started out at £10.00 but are not shifting at all in the Fife area, so that is why they have increased the fee to £25.00. There are still a couple left, I couldn't face more than four, if you fancy a wee trip!
Do you do any work for T*e* r* n Consultancy? I have picked up 6 Sp**saver visits for November at £15.00 a time, and they often have jobs on for £20.00 or more, that take the same time as the lower paid stuff.
A*s*s*o*c*i*a are good for cinema visits, I hope to see Skyfall for free with DH and DS over the weekend, by auditing a couple of trailer sets.
G*r*a*s*s*r*o*o*t*s and G*F*K are good for easy bank jobs, and supermarkets.
A*s*s*o*c*i*a is great for sticking up promotions in local supermarkets for £8.00 - £11.00 a time.
Registering with C*P*M is worth doing because all sorts of work crops up through that, in this area.
I know a lot of the mystery shoppers, who cover my area and the surroundings, as we are all working on a project together for E*S*A that pays pretty well, and we compare notes, so I think things are easier for me than a lot of shoppers in other areas. They are a great bunch of people from all sorts of backgrounds.
I have no problem if anyone ever reads this from my area, because I would happily pass work on, but on the official MSE thread we are not supposed to discuss these things. I understand why, but then that is viewed by a lot more people than my humble thread, so I am quite happy to give my opinion here xx.Weight 12 st 2lb - Now 11 stone 1 lb (-15 lb)

Day 43 of the 12 week challenge and 107/365 - 29.31%.
Hello world!
9 weigh-ins to go until XMAS, 9lb to lose, until I get to my goal weight. 1 lb a week, definately doable.
I want to go for it, then I can:-
1. Be the slimmest sister at XMAS, though word has it that a little birdie has told them I am losing weight and they are mounting a covert Southern challenge..... so dad tells me .... but then he loves to stir up a bit of a competition.
2. Move on to another challenge, there are so many things in my life that I want to transform, that I don't want to get stuck on just one thing.
3. Be at the healthiest BMI, for my age and height, which has to be the right approach for a woman of a certain age.
4. Move on to maintenance, which will mean that I can eat more and exercise less.
5. Buy a set of new clothes. At the moment it is tricky because I am between sizes, but then I will be a size 10-12 with room to grow a tiny bit.
6. Save £20.00 on Weightwatcher's fees.
I can do this...... I can do this ........:):):):):) I am going to work on a 9 week plan.
It takes a person with a mission to succeed.

Hello RB, I agree with Granny; have absolute confidence that you'll achieve all those goals.
Am somewhat jealous of 1, 3, & 4 - as I'm slipping the other way, what with eating too much bread, and munching while driving in an attempt not to smoke.0 -

I am enjoying following your journey, on your thread, it sounds like a real adventure, now look who's the jealous one.
I have to stay focused, out of pure necessity, because this is all so unnatural, but not unpleasant.
