    Day 39 of the 12 week challenge and 103/365 - 28.21%.

    Morning world.

I have picked up loads of mystery shops at a decent rate, so I will be busy doing them over the next few days, and that should ensure that my saving and spending budgets balance :T.

One is a case of life imitating art in a wierd kind of way.

Six months ago, I was asked to do a visit to a bra store to get kitted out for a maternity bra! The scenario was that I was heavily pregnant. I was particularly bloated at the time, so I pulled it off without a hitch, I just held my back and stuck my belly out. The shop assistant was lovely and was asking me tons of questions about my babe to be.

The company has asked me to do a follow-up call today, as a new mother ;), to see what bras they recommend. I'll leave baby with OH :rotfl:.

I am a stone lighter than the last visit. My ... that was one big baby!!!!!!!

Just be sure not to hold your back and stick out your belly this time, the last thing you want is for them to think you are still pregnant. :rotfl:

LOL, you're right Granny :rotfl:. I'm coming up for 47 so I think my days of playing a pregnant lady are becoming numbered.... even if my shape fits the profile.

I have just finished the visit and been sold the most beautiful lacey, black bra and pants set, which i've fallen in love with, so it's not going back :o. The fee for the visit was £20.00, the purchase £48.00, so a loss on this one of £28.00.

Three more visits today, but two are to N*xt, so more temptation aaaaaaaah!!!! It's like sending an alcoholic into an off licence, I really shouldn't be putting myself through this.

    Day 40 of the 12 week challenge and 104/365 - 28.00%.

My holiday is over. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and this morning I am surveying the damage inflicted on my weight and spending goals.

Overall I could have done better, and I will be lucky to lose anything tonight at WW and I am approximately £100.00 over budget this month, mainly due to overspending on entertainment and clothing last week.

I would have got pretty fed up about the above figures, but the reality is that a normal week's holiday would have seen me blow a few hundred pounds and put on 6lb, so I am improving and I CAN'T go back to how things were, however enticing the thought might be.

If I'd continued putting on 1.5 lb a month and losing £150.00, I would inevitably have ended up an enormous bankrupt.

Despite last week's freer approach, I am firmly back on the wagon today, and still in line for being £300.00 better off at the end of this month, rather than £400.00 and 4 lb lighter, than September, rather than 5 lb. I just need to keep focused. YAWN ............

    Here we go again..............................

    Thanks Granny and Clippy,

Good advice Granny, but how do you stop yourself from overthinking? My natural inclination is the line of least resistance, but it doesn't work for me anymore (I wish it did!)

I am tempted not to go to WW tonight as I suspect it will be 2lb on, but I have to learn to take the rough with the smooth, and achieve some kind of balance, so I will face the scales :o.

When does sticking to a food and monetary budget become natural? Today I can't be a**ed :rotfl:.

    Day 41 of the 12 week challenge and 105/365 - 28.76%.

I am feeling a lot more positive today!

Yesterday I gained 0.5 lb at WW, which was better than expected, but all through the meeting I was day dreaming about Whopper Burgers, to the point where I was salivating.

No amount of wrestling, with myself, would lessen the craving, so I decided to scratch the rebellious itch, and participate in a burger, onion rings and half bottle of wine event, in front of the fire, instead of a Zumba class.

That had to be the best burger i've ever eaten and I savoured every mouthful, without any guilt at all.

I think it was what I needed, because the resentment has gone and I'm back on the programme :rotfl:.

Little black dress here I come :).
