Twelve Weeks To Glow

Day 38 of the 12 week challenge and 102/365 - 27.90%.
Hi guys,
You were right Beanie! My mum got stuck on the island, overnight, with a new boyfriend, in the 1950's, and used to entertain us with tales of her father's reaction.
Fortunately, we were on and off the island without getting our feet wet, and 4/4 boys declared that my burgers/chips and icecream were better than Macdonald's, and they were £21.00 cheaper.
Inspired by MSE Edinburgher, I reviewed all my banking before we went out yesterday, and I have made some major changes ...
1. I have opened up an FD account. They agreed that my £1500.00 could come from 3 sources and that I would be entitled to the £100.00 transfer fee.
2. I also opened up an instant access account with them, which I am going to pay £150.00, into a month, for short term savings/emergencies. This account saves me paying £10.00 a month on their administration fees.
3. I opened up their regular savings account, which pays 8% gross interest, and I am going to pay £250.00 a month into this, for longer term savings.
I signed up for their texting facility, which will notify me every time anything goes in or out of the account, which should help me keep a really tight grip on things.
4. I was accepted for an Aqua credit card, with a £500.00 credit limit, that pays 3% on all purchases. I am going to do all my grocery shopping, diesel, entertainment and miscellaneous spends on this card, setting up an SO to pay it off, in full, each month.
5. Finally, I have revised a dormant Halifax 'reward' current account and I am going to start moving £1,000.00 backwards and forwards each month, in and out of it, to get their £5.00 a month bonus.
So approximate figures:-
£60 a year Halifax moving £5.00
£100 a year Aqua cashback
£100 FD transfer bonus
£150 a year FD regular savings account interest
Total £410.00 a year or £34.00 a month RESULT!!Weight 12 st 2lb - Now 11 stone 1 lb (-15 lb)
Saving £0 Now £1,000.00-J Cricket fund £200.00

Do you have a diary xx.
EDIT - I have found it, and I realised that I posted on it before. We are roughly the same height and weight, mystery shoppers doing similar classes (I must start up the Body Pump again) and eating the same breakfast! You are doing really well! Have you toned up?
hmmm i feel like a fraud nowshopped yesterday on payday and spent £60 so will be blowing the £80 this month! and not been to the gym all the week! to be fair i have had a lot on and am going this morning for body combat and a swim :A
my house is not overly cluttered as i have only been in it two years and was renting a room before so not managed to acquire that much. but do still have loads of stuff stuffed under bed and in cupboards. really need to declutter under bed as i have wooden floors so can see massive dust balls under there!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -

I am glad you have massive dust balls :rotfl:, perfection still makes me very nervous.

Hi Rainbow Bridge, :hello:
Glad to hear your trip yesterday was a huge success.
Also interested to read about FD; didn't realise their CC paid cash-back - damn that would have saved me lots of money this week! I'll call them and sign up today!0 -
Hi Robin,
I haven't got an FD credit card, Aqua is another company. I have a finger in every pie
.
Martin has a section on credit cards that pay cashback. The Aqua one suited my needs best, because it has no annual fee, and a low limit xx.
