How do you know that the bank will not ask for the money back?
They have your account details to write to you and for all non customers they have a sort code and account number from their machine records.
May take a little time but not impossible.0 -
Face it. If you had paid in £250 and only put £150 on the slip, you would expect them to pay you back every last penny. No, don't argue, you know damned well that you would.0

How would the CCTV footage show that he got £250.
I mean it may show her counting out £250, but how would the bank link this to him asking to withdraw £150.
Do you see what I mean, seems a bit improbable to me.0 -
no justification for people acting as unlawfully as the banks, i.e. bank charges0

You have to be prepared for the unprepared.
If your credit standing allows it have an overdraft facility in place now (but never use it) in case of an emergency.
If you can't have an authorised overdraft - keep a float in your account say £100 or £200 and don't allow your balance to go under that amount unless absolutely necessary0 -
I would be amazed if cctv would show the amount of money counted out by a cashier, unless anyone knows different?0
