it is clearly the bank assistants fault becuase i aksed for £150, signed a sheet fr £150 and she counted it out correctly. i didnt pull a fast one, if someone came upto you and said ''this cash machine is giving out twice the money it should do'' wouldnt you go for some money? i dont think you are all suggesting you would be as honest as you say
Why are you judging other posters by your own morals?Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -
When i was in phones 4 u a while ago the manager counted out to much cashback when i realised i called to him and made him aware of the error. i felt better pointing out the error than i eould have done with an extra £20 in my pocket
The glass is always half full, no exceptions !!:D

hi everyone, im new to this site. i wondered if anybody could help me, ive looked around and it seems friendly! i have just been to my bank at about 12pm and i asked for £150, my book was printed and it said i had withdrawn £150, along with the slip i signed. the assistant then counted out £250 and handed it over to me. i thought she had misheard me and taken £250 out of my accoutn so i didnt bother saying anything. i got home and then soon after i got a call asking if i had been paid £250 by mistake becuase their cctv showed i had. i counted the money again and rang them back to confirm i had. i then got told there is 2 ways, either i go back and pay the £100 back to them, or i get £100 taken out of my account. i wasnt happy to think that they were demanding the money back becuase they had made a mistake. i aksed for the money to be taken from my account, but i wasnt happy at all. Could anybody tell me as to ether they think this is acceptable? i feel robbed.
You feel robbed???? Are you for real???
A mistake was made and you were contacted to rectify it. Pay it back and get over it. You're being anand you know it.

i dont think it would have been so easy if the shoe was on the other foot, do you?
Many years ago I changed my mind about how much money to deposit in my account and changed a deposit slip, leaving it hard to understand. The wrong lower amount was credited to my account but I didn't notice. Some months later the bank asked me to come in for a chat and discussed the incident. I told them I couldn't see any sign that I'd used the extra money and explained a couple of details about other transactions which indicated that I knew where my money was being spent.
The bank credited my account with the difference a few weeks later.
Yes, it works when the shoe is on the other foot as well. I hadn't even asked them for the money.0 -
You got the money back because the till must have been over on the day the incident took place.0

I'm no angel, but I was given £10 too much change in the Krispy Kreme shop a few months ago (two dozen doughnuts almost cost me only £2.00!) and I gave it back to the girl (much to the amazement of the chappie behind me in the queue) because it could have cost her her job at the end of the day. Last week, I bought £20-worth of petrol plus some mints and was charged £3.31 for the lot! Then realised the chappie behind the counter had not charged me for the petrol, so I told him. Again, it could have been his job at the end of the day.
Nice post btw Fat Boy - made me laugh!
Danny 69 - take the shame!
Happy Easter, all

You tried to commit a crime.
