my book was printed and it said i had withdrawn £150, along with the slip i signed. the assistant then counted out £250 and handed it over to me. i thought she had misheard me and taken £250 out of my accoutn so i didnt bother saying anything.
How you can possibly think that £250 has been taken out of your account when your book says it was £150?
The fact that you didn't bother saying anything points to the fact that you are dishonest and quite frankly, a wido, who was chancing his arm.
And no, you aren't entitled to anything as recompense for your 'inconvenience', you wouldn't have had to take it back in if you had held your hands up to it at the time. Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -

Reminds me of a customer I once dealt with who had been vastly undercharged for his services for about 18 months (he'd been getting it free  ) When it came to light and I told him that we would be charging from that date onwards he was most indigant and asked if he would be getting compo !!!

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

I know I'm going to get flamed for this but while I think he has no moral argument I can kind of see his point.
My example is - a few months ago a bloke at work went to a cash point in the shopping centre near our office and asked for £10 - it gave him £20. He thought ...hmm and asked for £50 it gave him £100. He came back to work and told everybody about this and for the rest of the afternoon this was the busiest cash point in Nottingham as everybody was going there and withdrawing their entire wages then depositing it all back in their account - unfortunately for me I wasn't at work on this day so didn't benefit! The upshot was that the bank realised it had f***d up but didn't ask for recovery as it would have been a little embarrassing! How I wish I'd been at work that day!0
