well I made £24 and a handfull of shrapnel this morning at the car boot so ok for a day when i was up and about early anways ... ive got 2 bags of stuff to go into one of those shops that buy clothes by the kg so will do that tomorrow. should get about a £5 for that so quite a productive weekend and its made space so a win win all round. still getting tiny sales thru on fleabay though slowed down to a crawl now...

I start my employed job on wednesday of next week (put back by 2 days) but have 2 days freelancing to fill Mon and Tue so it all evens out. PPI claim letter went off to Aqua on Saturday along with a letter demanding a freeze of interest on that account. I've got 2 other PPI claims to go out - Capital 1 (smallest card) and vanquis so they both go off in the post tomorrow. using the calculation formula on here ive worked it out payouts should be approximately 630/210 and about 1600 so fingers crossed for all that. will probably take up to end of august but its money better credited to me than in their profits so its worth the price of a stamp and some patience :)

menu planning done for the week and just need to get fridge stuff and some fruit/ veggies then we're sorted for the week. £50 max should do it all and grocery bill will come down considerably from next weekend when DS1 vacates for the first couple of months away... dreading it now but he's not going to know that. DS2 is making himself indispensable so I dont feel so bereft and house guest is making herself at home... still dont know what I'm going to do about that for now.

just picked up some freelance work for last part of this month/ early into next month that is all to do with databases and manipulation of data meaning that it can be done at 3am in the morning if i want to and it wont impact on my day job so extra 1K in the coffers next month, thank you very much :T seriously thinking of putting it into an emergency fund as currently thats empty or even splitting it between aqua cc and emergency fund - decisions uh?

apart from that life just trundles on - DS1 is packed and itching to be out the door and gone on Saturday coming, DS2 is enjoying his new job (mind you its only day 2), ex has arranged to pay me for bringing the accounts up to date on his business so that should hit the account by end of the week... I cant get used to being able to pay for bills as they come in and having a positive bank balance, mind you i suppose it evens up with the negative balances on all the cards/ loans etc:rotfl:

first day at new employed job done and dusted - lots of new systems and procedures to learn and I feel like I'm wading thru treacle with it but I'm sure it will become easier. the freelance work I picked up I'm going to do some on today as well as I want to get it done and dusted and paid for. I've also been asked to do some freelance telemarketing for a company but I dont know if I can fit it all in - it doesnt start for a couple of weeks but I need some time off to myself, if I took it I would be working 80 hours a week for 6 weeks for mega money which would make a real difference to where I'm at but at the moment I'm undecided. it does feel like all I do is work at the moment infact its felt like that for as long as I can remember....

mind you at least the money i earn now is for me to spend or pay off as I see fit so despite everything im still a lot better off than i was!

I've decided to bite the bullet and do the extra hours - I don't really have any choice I want to start seeing some balances creeping down so the only way to do that is to do something about it and earn more. so Ive accepted the extra freelance work plus some ad hoc hours to do some training for a company of their staff (did it about this time last year) so July/ August are going to be incredibly busy with 80+ hours being worked every week but at least if I do it for a couple of months its over and done with plus its a real shot in the arm and I can make a difference with the lump sum.

Catandy, you'll be so busy you won't have time to miss your son, and you won't have time to spend any money!

I'm exhausted just reading about your working regime.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Well I've spent since Saturday evening when I got home in tears on and off, my days as being needed as Mum are over and DS1 is out in the big wide world (it feels like my right arm has been cut off)... I cooked a dinner for him yesterday and found myself getting the extra plate out without thinking about it.. I'm sure I will adapt but for now I'm lost which is crazy cos he was out all the time anyway and only used home as a B&B to get fed and sleep...

    Anyway plans for this week;-
    1. work full time job daytime hours
    2. work evening job full time hours
    3. do 10 hours of extra training / coaching work (its preparation work I do before I actually go into the company in 2 weeks time) but I want to get it done so I'm prepared for it.
    4. work out what we are going to do with our extra 'house guest'. She doesn't want to go home and does want to keep the baby, well that's more information we had than 1 week ago to work on :)
    5. food shop using the machine in the supermarket so I can clear the 'penny jar' there must be a couple of hundred in there so its time to restock the cupboards with staples.
    6. go and see my mum this weekend (£5 ticket on the train if I book it today instead of £20 something on the day).
ok that's about it for this week - not very inspiring is it?
