well good day yesterday made £108 on fleabay sales and everyone paid up on time no hassle :j - given me the push to do some more listings. also had a fone call from ex last night that hes posted a cheque out to me to cover some of what he owes me for board and lodgings, wont hold my breath on it actually getting here and being signed and actually clearing thru the bank but if all those miracles actually do come true then ive got more money than I thought this month which can only be a good thing. (I'm also really proud of myself the grown up way I handled the contact from him) :)

anyway plans for today, finish blitzing the big storage cupboard in the kitchen and clearing the stuff out of there. that and some work and normal boring domesticated stuff.

only other news is DS2 has been called back for a second interview so ive got everything crossed for him that he gets it, hes on an apprenticeship at the moment and being exploited at just short of £3 per hour, this is a normal job with NMW so would at least give him £2 extra an hour and a bigger pay packet at the end of the month.

oki gotta crack on with it all

ive been given till the end of the week by my new employer to sell something or they get rid of me ie sack me. i've already given up trying to be honest, the job I'm doing doesnt match the job I was interviewed for so I'm just taking them for the basic pay till friday (or before if they get rid of me earlier).

I've already contacted all the companies I have ever freelanced for and had one come back to me so far with some work that I can start next week. so looks like I'm unemployable in the truest sense and only self employment will work for me despite the rollercoaster that brings.

DS2 finds out by end of the week if he's got the job so everything crossed for that. DS1 has first of his final exams today and is starting to pack his stuff up ready to leave on 22nd - I've promised him that I wont embarrass him infront of the people he is working with when I drop him off but I know I'm going to be in floods of tears. It's all happening too fast for my liking!

still waiting on cheque and life just ticking over with the DMP in place, everyone has been paid, just wish my progress was a lot quicker than it is.

    Hi Catandy,

Just caught up on your diary, so happy for you, your ex has finally left the building and you have the place to yourself. I hope he saw you and your sons dancing like loons in his rear view mirror :D.

Good, that your dmp is ticking along nicely, yes clear Aqua first, it will be a huge boost. I had an Egg/Barclay card that was 29.9% (probably still not as high as Aqua) I made it my target card, it was so good to no longer be paying interest on things I couldn't remember I had bought or no longer had.

I hope the job hunting goes well, as for the call centre job, use it to plug a gap and move on to something better.

well ive got a review at work today at 2pm so I think I probably lose my job then - ive got some self employed hours lined up for next week (40 hours) plus I'm speaking to another company at my lunch hour today about taking some work from them so I should already have it covered for when the inevitable happens.

DS1 and I had a real heart to heart last night - which is a real rarity. He had his first A level exam yesterday and flunked it going into a panic attack and being unable to put pen to paper or formulate his thouthts. He's really disappointed so I did my best to talk thru his options and that its not the end of the world and what his plans are and so on. It seems that my DS1's motivation for most things he does is to show the finger and say XXXX you to ex who always told him he wasnt going to make anything of himself, was like all kids of today and wanted it giving to him on a plate etc etc - the term pot and kettle black springs to mind - anyway Andy is a good kid, his heart is in the right place and I cant believe how much damage ive done to him by allowing ex to live in the same place as us for all this time. All I could do was tell DS1 and DS2 later when we all sat down that I know they are good kids and whatever they do is right and I will always stand by them, also not to ever get tied down or stuck in a situation they cant get free from and if they do they will have me to answer to!

so moving forward I need to find a better paid job like yesterday so I can start making my kids lives more comfortable and stress free. I also need to do what i can to get free of this yoke of debt asap - im not willing to put my life on hold for the next 20+ years to pay it off. the legacy of the mess ive got myself in is going to be wiped out in double quick time and me and my kids are going to start living a bit instead of the existing we have been doing and having this hanging over us as a reminder. first day of my path to freedom is starting today.

ive got self employment lined up again for the next 2 weeks and will start in earnest applying for everything going :D just hope DS1 had a better day today following yesterdays meltdown

well I'm back freelancing like I was never away and I've got an interview lined up for a homebased telemarketing position for next week so the bonus of a salary for what i do self employed all without leaving my lounge - sort of a win win :) fingers crossed for thursday but if i dont get it I'm ok with the freelancing for now.

DS2 got his job  so hes as proud as punch (and I am of him as well). he's already planning what to spend his extra money on, bless him, and has negotiated a rise in what he pays to me for his board and keep. DS1 is all ready and packed to leave (I'm not taking it personally he's just super excited) and life ticks on...

Selling on Ebay is becoming a lucrative little side line for me - ive done £235 since the start of the month which is absolutely fantabulous!:T just hope ive got enough stuff to keep selling to keep earning ... iyswim

in all it feels like everything happens for a reason... im getting serious in my old age oh no!

    hi ellie

he started with old style uk wrestling then moved onto the wwe / elucha high flying stuff and then went into the olympic side of things. its taken him just over 12 months to get safe at what he does before he could do other stuff, a lot of it is knowing how to fall properly and how to position themselves so they dont get hurt but it still looks good to the audience (some of the moves he does scare me half to death but he assures me they are safe...) he had to be 14 to start it and weigh a certain amount to be able to hold his own with the other guys there. if you want some info on training schools or whatever for your LO let me know and ill search them out.
