Putting My Life Into Order

just spent almost an hour trying to get a wire transfer organised from one of the payment providers into the company bank account, and still not gone thru.... times like this I hate the interweb.
waiting for another payment provider to do a wire transfer into the new account for the first time so on tenterhooks that works ok and doesnt go to the old account - I'm becoming such a worry guts about this all going wrong all the time.
new freelance project due to start tomorrow and due to last the rest of the month so ok there and next month already booked on a follow on project to this one so know what im doing there as well. waiting on pay day (as ever) and need to do a bits n pieces shop to top up which will then last us the week. Apart from that its pay my sons fine and then hunker down till payday0 -
ok breakthru for the company in that wire transfer payment gone thru fine and more than we were expecting :j - waiting on a contract to be signed off again to see how this is going to grow so everything crossed for our meeting this pm.
still not yet back freelancing - waiting the go ahead from the company I get work from and they are dragging their feet - I've worked out all my figures on my DMP on 9 days per month working so time is still on my side at the moment. i chased up the employed jobs I applied for yesterday, one the contact isnt in till next will so will do that again then and the other has put a hold on their recruitment drive for the summer period - so one wonders why they were advertising ?? oh well will keep looking.
still doing bits n peices to add to the pot - £4 in surveys this morning - just another £3 now off a payout from Populous surveys so will do each of them that come thru. Others have got the balances creeping up slowly as well. got renewal time coming round for contents insurance so will do that via quidco to get some cashback that way as well. plodding along ok all told0 -
ok so news today? well we had a great shift for the business last night - we made just over £80 profit in 3 hours of trading, so profits pot will be nice and healthy looking by the time its paid out in 3 weeks time.
spent some of this morning moving the last of my DD across to my new bank account and have done water and council tax over the 12 months making my monthly outgoings more manageable. which is probably a good thing cos it looks like the freelance project i was earmarked for is on hold indefinately which basically means I'm jobless again
:mad::eek::mad::mad::mad::mad::eek::o:mad::mad::mad::mad::eek:
so totally sick of all of this now0 -
got busy yesterday and applied for 6 jobs in total - 2 of whom ive got interviews set up with already. I've also heard back from the company I freelance for that they have no work for me next week either so it is definately time for me to find an employed position
- maybe would be better if I actually worked for someone who was straight as well as that would be a bit of a novelty!
rubbish shift for the business last night lol - we made just over £5 in 3 hours of trading:o I cant believe that it varies so much! tonights shift should be better as its one of the better convertors using the system so fingers crossed for that.0 -
ok well last nights shift for the company wasnt a resounding success - £25 made in about 4 hours for us. all told this week we've made £128 give or take a few pence. Not fantastic but better than a big fat 0
Looks like I may have a job, had an interview last thing last night and been asked back Monday PM to dicuss terms/ start dates. Basic salary is 16 to 18k so I obviously want the higher end of that, its walking distance ok 1 hour so walking distance when its not rainingso plan to save some £ and hopefully drop some lb doing it that way. will also give me some 'me time' to get work out of my head and chillout a bit before I get home.
Company I supposedly freelance for have booked me on a training course at the end of the month with a view to having a project for me next month - not really thinking about how will I have been able to make ends meet by getting no work from them for 4 weeks. It's definately time for me to do the employed route again and the security that brings - I need some security in my life again.
Ex is moving ahead with his move apace now, sorting out furniture for his new place and got a lot of it thru Freegle and Freecycle so thats all on track. just 7 weeks to go :T I'm thinking of having a big blitz in my place when he does move out and redecorating and moving everything round so it feels like my place again. only going to be some cheap paint on the walls but it will make it feel like my home again
And I'm off to see my mum today - which is something I havent been able to afford for the last 8 weeks so I'm really looking forward to seeing her!:)0 -
good weekend all told - had a great time visiting my mum who was having a good day so we managed to have a chat and a giggle, even managed a short walk in the sun
alzheimers is a horrible disease it steals the person away bit by bit.

plans for today - interview at 2pm so fingers crossed for that. and thats about it for me today - nothing else exciting happening at all.

got the job on a higher basic than i expected so my freelancing days are well and truly behind me forever now. employed job with a guaranteed salary plus commission when i earn it and some much needed stability returning to mine and sons lives. I actually feel optimistic about the future now and have set up 2 SO for the DMP this afternoon at the revised rates. I'm going to do the rest tomorrow then get my letters posted off. things will get better now, just do my job and get some regular pay packets coming in, then work everything out from there!0 -
start date has come thru and contract and all is as it was promised to be - first day of employed work next Monday and really looking forward to it
Company with ex had a hiccup last night namely ex deleted the software off our server whilst he wasnt concentrating - much stressing and shouting at him later and all systems are fully installed and he's very chastened and paying a lot more attention to what he is doing so maybe a wake up call that was needed
nothing else going on this week - just more of the same for business with ex, pay day tomorrow from company I used to freelance for so pay the normal bills then and do a proper shop to fill up all the cupboards/ freezers etc. then work next week - im beginning to like that word0 -
companies are accepting my revised offer on my DMP with surprisingly little resistance - which is welcome as I really do not want to deal with any more stress from them at the moment. Halifax and Aqua refuse to hold interest or even reduce it infact Aqua has put it up - now stands at an eye watering 41%pa!!
Did a food shop to fill the freezers tonight and thats enough in now to last 2 weeks so all good there. Also did a sack of potatoes from the local farm shop, enough in there to last us a month and just 1.50 so bargain again. cupboard stuff and fridge stuff we are ok for so no more spend this week apart from electric in the meter,
company with ex has made £24 and no one is even using the system liveits definately picking up momentum I just wish it was even faster.
only other thing I need to do this week is get myself organised with going back to work next week. With working from home for so long and my total lack of a social life I have become somewhat cut off from normal life, I dont own a pair of shoes that I can wear for office wear (I live in trainers and hi-tops), nor do I own a handbag so I need to go and spend a bit of money on me going back to work.0 -
just got notification from the company I start work with next week about my commission package they have put together for me which amounts to a massive £60 per month by hitting target lol so I wont count on that making any major difference to paying off these debts any time soon!
this month is going to be tight money wise cos im only working a part month, of course I could apply for part housing benefit which it looks like I would be entitled to but for the time it would take to put it in place and how long it takes to payout its easier me just getting on with it and paying it myself. from next month things free up considerably which means I start making inroads into the totals.
I'm thinking of doing a car boot this weekend cos the one nearest to where i live opens this weekend and is sure to be busy. its also nice weather forecast so it wont feel such a hardship getting up early if the sun is shining and I make some extra £ to boot - sort of a win/ win.
No more shifts scheduled for our business this week which means that the income for that is at a standstill - not goodjust hope next week it picks up to make up for it
