so another £40 something from fleabay and another round of listing planned later today. so all going nicely there
also sent off a couple of old mobile handsets and been offered just short of £100 for them online so just got to see how much they actually pay for them now.
got freelance work planned out for next week and another project that I hear about on Tuesday of next week as well for starting the week after. Ex phoned me last night and asked me to do the accounts for the business and he will pay me for doing it - so 2 days work per month there as well - I'm not in a position to be proud enough to say shove it where the sun doesnt shine...:o
got an email yesterday evening from wonga again saying they dont agree the terms of the offer made on my dmp even though less than a week before that i had a letter saying they do and theyve been paid. well tough ti**ies cos they're not getting anymore out of me.
quiet weekend planned (just for a change) - DS1 wrestling all day today, DS2 away at his girlfriends all weekend so I'm billy no mates again0 -
hi ellie
he started with old style uk wrestling then moved onto the wwe / elucha high flying stuff and then went into the olympic side of things. its taken him just over 12 months to get safe at what he does before he could do other stuff, a lot of it is knowing how to fall properly and how to position themselves so they dont get hurt but it still looks good to the audience (some of the moves he does scare me half to death but he assures me they are safe...) he had to be 14 to start it and weigh a certain amount to be able to hold his own with the other guys there. if you want some info on training schools or whatever for your LO let me know and ill search them out.So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x0 -
ok plans for the coming week...
1 - get tax credit award sorted for this year - its going to be chaging again come start of Sept when DS1 is officially classed as being left education but this is high on list of to do's now.
2 - sort out company house and me standing down as a director of company with ex, ive got a form to fill in stating that I never took a salary or income from the company (I should be so lucky)....
3 - normal week of work plus phone on tuesday reference a new project that Ive been shortlisted for. also need to chase up home based employed job I applied for.
4 - keep the listings going on fleebay and do a car boot next sunday to get rid of stuff thats not worth postage. if it doesnt sell at a car boot its going to charity shop or the tip!
5 - chase up money from selling mobiles (should be thru Wednesday latest)
apart from that its a normal week with DS1 and DS2 (who has his final week at work). DS1 leaves 2 weeks yesterday (and I'm dreading it) already getting weepy about it which he finds really funny (oh well Im always going to be an embarrasing mom!):o0 -

Thanks Elly - I think the main thing is he still enjoys what he does and yes he did the trampoline bit and broke a bed practising his throws when he was younger

back to work and I'm ready for it. Plus got my figures ready for WTC renewal so going to do that early on today before the phonelines get jammed. also decided to be really organised this year and do my tax return for last year way before the deadline so plan to get that done as well this week - I hate officialdom so need to get things done that I hate doing instead of procrastinating.
DS1 kindly bought one of his friends home last night who is having problems with their family saying 'its ok for them to stay here isnt it - they can have my room when im gone'. Not even thought about it yet, last night they were both hungry and tired so they got fed and went to bed. We will put some sort of order into proceedings today when they both wake up - it does feel like my place is turning into a drop in centre for troubled teens thoughmind you its nice that they feel that they can turn up here any time of the day or night and know they wont get grief. regardless we will sort it out later...
Nothing else planned for today, got to go and cash some lose change up sometime this week and will use it at the supermarket to replenish the bits n bobs we need. apart from that all quiet on all fronts0 -
ok things are a-changing again....
I got the employed home-based job and start on Monday - get paid end of the month so thats £ I hadnt expected this month. It means I can still do some freelance work on the side to add some extra but essentially its a job that was 'designed for me' - my skill set, my product and sales style, salaried and I dont even have to leave my lounge. Money is ok and stable more to the point! Oh I also get extra paid holiday as bonus for hitting sales target (always like being paid for doing nothing!)
Other news is I have a 18 year old girl living with us for now, she's pregnant (not by either of my sons) and her parents are religous so having a crisis between their beliefs and the situation. DS1 has given his bedroom and bed up for her to sleep there and he's in the lounge on a blow up mattress he got yesterday from B&M stores (so all very MSE). dont know what is going to happen long term, for now shes pretty shell shocked so making sure she eats and sleeps is the first part of the equation then we start talking it thru with her parents or looking at finding her a place to stay... for now she's safe and got a roof above her head and food in her belly the rest of the stuff will work itself out.0 -
DS1 has last but one A level exam today, DS2 has last day at work today before he moves to his new job. I've got 2 full days freelancing today and tomorrow before I start employed job on Monday, all bills are paid in full and on time ?! and I've still got money in my bank account.... (what is going on??)
life is becoming scary and this is totally unknown territory for me - but I kind of like it!;)0 -
just got the post for today - 2 letters from aqua ....
still not frozen interest infact added 97.14 this month in charges when im only paying them 5.90 PM - total madness. Another letter going out to them asking them to remove fees and threatening with FOS and also another letter claiming PPI that was on that card. Totally sick of that organisation now....
with all that said im not going to let them get to me anymore - i feel like ive turned a corner with all this so even them and their stupid apr's and non logic is going to get to me.:)0 -
hi catandy watch that good nature of yours ,but lovely that your son rescued a damsel in distress .free listing this weekend on ebay and well done on the bank balance .:TSo finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x0

thanks Elly and yes he's a good kid
.....................................................................................
good news on the free listing this weekend - I'm all ready to go with my pics taken and an exciting couple of hours planned uploading and writing descriptions... shouldnt moan cos its making a major difference to my bank balance this month - up to 470£ since I started selling at the start of the month but I'm getting to the dregs of stuff I can sell now.. ready for a car boot this sunday to get rid of more stuff as well, DS1 finally cleared out the bottom of his wardrobe and is getting rid of some of his 'action figures' from when he was a kid - like 500+ of them....
so plans for the today and over the weekend? nothing in particular, cleaning n cooking and domesticated stuff, DS1 has a house party with his mates to celebrate end of exams, DS2 is at home and his girlfriend staying for a couple of nights and still have our extra guest at the moment. she refuses to speak to her parents in person and they wont speak to her on the phone and want to do it face to face.....oh well keep plugging away at it.0
