well don't know if its fate or what but ex's business has just lost one of the only 2 clients it had - he's gone off on one at a client and its cost him about 1k pm plus the company has only been trading a month so it could only go up ... he's foned me and left me a message to ask if I can talk to them to resolve the issue and get them back on-board for him, to his business, which I have no part or ties to now, and am owed money from, which I'm unlikely to see in the next lifetime never mind this one... I should tell him where to stick it but without that customer I have even less chance of getting any money paid back to me - don't know what I'm going to do yet..

Tell him if he gives you the money the business owes you, you will talk to HIS client. Remind him it's not your problem anymore. Good luck

I'm ignoring his request as its his business now so whatever happens to it is his doing and not mine. I've already written off the money I've pumped into it, never going to get it back and not worth the hassle of chasing him for it. freedom is more important

Other news is Aqua have finally issued a default and are passing my debt to a DCA meaning that interest is finally frozen and it gives me a chance of clearing it :T:T at last!! its only taken 8 months of them hammering charges on for them to see there is no logic in what they are doing and are unlikely for me ever to pay them back at the rate they were going. I'm going to have to wait till end of the month to be able to see the default on my Noddle report but it all feels like its starting to come together and I'm going to make some headway with this. seems a bit mad that im happy about having a default but it just goes to show how your priorities change with these things :rotfl:

Just got another 15 day freelance contract to work alongside my full time employed job so double income for 2 months which again is a bonus. Just hope I can do the same next month as well, that will give me a good chance to get back fully on my feet, wont have paid everything off but aim is to have cleared aqua completely then a chunk off the other capital one card!

roll on the weekend if for no other reason that it means I'm not working - getting sick of this splitting myself in half to do 2 and a bit jobs. I'm managing to keep up with it all its just all a bit stress all told.

DS1 rang and is 'having the best time' which I was really glad to hear. DS2 and girlfriend are like ghosts I hear them coming in and out and I see the fridge emptying but I see them perhaps 30 minutes every couple of days. our house guest is staying till we can find her a place of her own, either flat or house for when the baby comes along so we've got about 7 months to get her organised. she's a sweet kid but I cant help thinking it will be a baby being brought up by a half child/ half adult - gosh I sound so old!

got to go to PO to pay some bills at lunch time - which is good cos I need to get out I've got cabin fever starting at the moment. No plans for the weekend - do I ever have any... no

what a glorious weekend

just got my rent statement thru again and will be back in credit permanently from July 15th (I'm supposed to pay a month in advance) so that has been cleared quite successfully :beer:. all other day to day bills up to date and being paid in full and on time, money left in my bank account at the end of the month and able to pay for shoes for DS2 when he needed them without it being hmm how do we afford to eat... like it would have been just 6 months ago. some semblance of normality is returning to mine and my kids lives and that can only be a good thing

plan for the weekend - take DS2 and his girlfriend to his sports event, he's acting as a steward at a competition 60 miles away so it gives me a chance to see how the new banger/ car does on a spin on the motorway. DS2 wants to get ranked and compete next year so it will give him an insiders view how it works and he picks up some 'pin money' for doing it. me, it gets me out the flat

should be a nsd for me as we've got everything in we need so I just need to find something to do that doesn't cost money, may go for a long slow run or then again I may just be lazy and lie out in the sun and catch some rays!

well done you ,its amazing how so often on these sites becoming debt free means the end of a relationship ,but the relief of no more financial burden gives a sense of freedom and thats even with you paying for his mobile . doesnt say much for the girls religious parents though with their attitude to her pregnancy is she visiting them regularly they might get used to the idea you know and she might be better off with them and support rather than living on her own ,have a great weekend we are child free and diy- ing only sunshine i will get will be hanging out washing or visiting screwfix lol

Ok back to work after a lovely weekend of sunshine and relaxation - and got to see my mom for a few hours yesterday which was great too. Doubling up on projects again until the 25th then I think Ive got just one till the end of the month ... unless I take on more work that is

Plans for this week? Well work and do a supplies restock, pay some rent at the PO to get ahead and sort out some paperwork. time to get my desk cleared once and for all so got to sort that out this month.

apart from that its make the most of the sun whilst its around - I cant believe the amount of people moaning that its too hot! next week they will be moaning that its overcast and drizzly again - theres just no pleasing some people.

just hit target on both jobs so good day at work even if I really don't want to be doing it today (would much rather be skiving off and enjoying the sunshine). have had a payment from the ex's company and missed calls that he wants to speak with me so don't know what's going on there... perhaps he paid me by accident and wants the money back ?:)

no big news is he planned to pay me and has set up a repayment plan to get me paid off all that I ploughed into the company - going to take 2 years to pay me off in total and in return I do the admin for the company (which saves him paying someone to do it) and makes sure I can see what is going on with the money and that im not being short changed. im going to accept it for as long as it lasts - and not count on the money but put it aside so I can do some f&f on some of the bigger balances. Im actually speechless that he's done the right thing and can finally start to see a way to make some headway into these figures - just hope it doesn't all go tits up now and it all ends before it starts
