I would buy the dress now in a 16.
You could always jazz it up with a nice scarf?

Thanks Maman. My problem is that I very rarely find anything I like - but that's probably because in the past I have been v limited in the shops I could buy from; The dress is cheap at £18 but I don't want to buy the 16 and then find I haven't lost the weight to fit into it (the old doubt and lack of confidence creeping back in again :() OR I might get to Xmas and find it's too big and then I wouldn't have had the use of it. Think I'll leave it for another 6 weeks or so and see how I'm doing. xx

Hmmm Beanielou - I dont know what to do!! I do like the dress v much and have a nice pair of high black & grey shoes that would make it look smart with sheer tights, or my knee high leather boots which could make it look nice for a day out/shopping. I'll see if I can find a pic of it and see what you think

That's true Beanie - the dress is new in so should be in store for a few weeks yet. I'll leave it until the end of Sept then if I still like it I'll buy it and then have until the end Oct to decide if I'm keeping it or not!

I am not keen on the pattern of the dress but the shape is really nice. Personally I would wait and get one nearer the time because even if you are the right size by then it may not fit - every shop varies. If you waited then you could shop around and find the perfect fit.

Either that or buy it and then take it back or ebay it if need be?
Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j
  • Well KandFs.. I would buy both.. explain that it's for a birthday in late december and if it's not ok can you fetch it back. They SHOULD mark it on the receipt. :D Win Win! I have noticed that Asda has a quick turn around in clothing. Whenever I see something I like (Rare) I tell myself I'll wait till pay day - then they have none!
  • Lost 4.5 in the last 2 weeks so hopefully that will kickstart my motivation again! Got a chinese ready meal type thing from the supermarket last night but didn't really enjoy it so it might put me off eating it again! Going away a week today so really want to lose a couple more pounds before then.

  • WI for me tonight, spent 5days this week at the Paralympics so have 2.5days off plan but I had 5 days on plan before that and this is my 3rd day back (all on plan) and because I had a 1lb gain the WI before I went I'm praying for any loss tonight! Ideally I would have lost 2+lb. did minimum of 3hours walking (moderate to intense) everyday whilst away and whilst some of what I ate wasn't great kinda hoping I've got away with it a little.

Going to work hard cos I would love to lose another stone by Christmas!
