I eat loads of eggs... if I make a SW quiche I will eat it all in one day so that's 6 eggs on it's own. Then I love to snack on hard boiled eggs too... maybe 2 or 3 at a time.

I'm glad you said that, I eat loads of them too. I absolutely love slimming world quiche, or adding some scramble eggs to stir fry.

Weigh in for me tomorrow and it will be 2 weeks worth as I didn't go last week. I haven't eaten much this last week because of having a tooth out but I can see that back firing and me having a gain!

An EE day for me today:

B: french toast (eggs + HEB)
L: quarter water melon and small tin of sardines in tomato sauce
D: SW fish and potato bake, was very yummy! (Free or very low syn on EE I think)
Drinks: tea + coffee with SS milk (HEA + 2 syns for extra 200ml milk)

Hopefully I'll stick to it and won't get the munchies too badly later. :o

    Have a good evening all.

Have been nosing through some of my SW books the past couple of days and one thing that has stood out from everything that we are taught in class is that you are to monitor your egg consumption. We have been told endlessly that these are a free food and to fill your boots but this book says in black and white that eggs are high in cholesterol and that more than 10 a week in an average healthy person is too much and anyone with pre-existing health conditions should max at 4 per week.

    Hi Stef. :)

The advice about eggs has changed, we are now told that there is 'good' and 'bad' cholesterol. The good stuff, which is what we are told eggs contain, protects out arteries rather than damages them. HTH. :)

Jay is right, eggs are a brill food to eat and very good for you!

i was told that 14 and over a week does funny things to your insides. personally, i know if i eat a large amount, it def does something and it aint nice!
  • Lost 1lb so pretty chuffed! Decided I'm gonna attempt to be alcohol free and see how my weight loss goes.
  • Hi, Well done on all the losses. I bought the BBQ fry light and have so far only used it on some chicken, which I didn't really like. Apart from potato wedges what else has anyone tried it on? Thanks.

The jury is still out on eggs - they may have longer term effects on the rate at which fatty deposits are laid down even if they do contain "good" cholesterol, so it's best to enjoy in moderation.
