    Hi

I am hoping to join Slimming World fairly soon but I've got a load of leftover food from when I was doing Diet Chef earlier this year that I don't want to waste. I've eaten all the snacks and breakfast things so all I've got left are soups and casseroles, I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if diet chef food has syn values listed on Slimming world? My parents and sister have been doing slimming world and they look amazing, plus I really want to start doing a diet that my veggie bf and I can do together. But there's no point in joining until I've got rid of this stuff if I can't include it as part of my plan.

Thanks in advance, can't wait to join in with you all!

Sorry, Katrina, I don't know anything about Diet Chef but most people eat up what they've got in before starting SW and if it's designed as diet food it's probably better than some stuff. If your family are doing SW already then you can get ideas from them (or on here) for good SW breakfasts and snacks. In the meantime I'd eat up your Diet Chef foods for lunches and dinners and have as much fruit and veg as you can plus things like Fat Free yogurts. How much food have you got in?

Evening all, last day of 2 whole weeks of following slimming world :) * week starts today so I hope I have still lost tomorrow morning. I have been pretty good at sticking to plan but managed to sneak a croissant at Ikea this afternoon, my 7 month old ate almost half of it though  and I done 10km on the bike tonight while watching some documentary about the 50 shades books :o Hadn't use anywhere near all my syns for the week so hopefully it won't hit me too hard.

Thanks for the new thread FE :j

  • Hello, lovely new thread. I haven't been around for a long time? Not been well and lots of problems at work but will try to catch up (that won't be easy)

Well done to all the losers and big hugs for the strugglers (is that a real word?)

I have been sticking to the plan which is now a way of life for me so no change in weight. At and around target for three and a half years now so proof that SW works cos if it's worked for me it will work for ANYONE.

    Any sign of Dizzy?

Have a good week everyone. x

    Hi everyone

I've never tried slimming world but think Im going to give it a go. I have about 3 stone to lose.
I've had a look at the 7 day meal plan and it seems lots of food for a diet, I can't understand how this will work. But have heard good thing's so would like to give it a shot.

Would you say the £60 joining fee for 3 months online is worth it? Is it easy to understand the way this all works joining online?

Do they do any discount codes like ww do?

Lastly, does eating on slimming world end up quite an expensive weekly shop?

    Thank you everyone :)

I've been thinking about breakfasts and lunches on extra easy.

If I had scrambled egg or poached egg on 1 slice of white Nimble bread (1HEB) that would be free? Then could I have a banana a wee bit later as my 1/3 Superfree?

Lunches I can have a bowl of home made veg soup (free) for my 1/3 Superfree with jacket potato and tuna or cottage cheese.

Would that work? I am so determined to figure this out!

Thanks from me also.:) I am hoping to lose a pound this week as we've done loads of heavy work in the garden this weekend and followed plan (as usual).

I've lost 1 st 3.5 lbs but it's taken since May and I cannot imagine losing another stone, which I'd love to really. I just feel different the last few weeks. Whenever I get into that "lose a half, gain a half, stay the same" mode I start worrying.:(

I get to the point where my clothes fit again and think "oh I've done well that's all I need to lose" when in reality they are my "fat" clothes and all my really nice clothes still need about another 2 stone off before I will fit into them! Personally, I think the lose half, gain half, stay the same is a combination of (a) my body getting used to the plan (b) my brain knowing how to cheat the plan and stop measuring things quite so accurately and (c) because I feel so much happier with the weight I've lost, the serious motivation I had in the first place is lost (d) I get bored of the same old food which seemed so exciting in the first place.

Can you try to change your food perhaps?
