I didn't sleep very well last night (second night this week) so I am not feeling myself today. Consequently I have had too many syns but I am trying to be sensible with them and have resisted the temptation of the Co$ta Cof%ee shop/the pub for lunch/the fish and chip shop etc.
I have still had about 30 syns but it could have been worse - I was eyeing up a prawn salad in Te%co but at over 500 calories I decided it wasn't worth it and left it on the shelf.
- yes there is a new hi fi bar due out soon - I don't know when though. There are also a couple of new cookbooks due out soon and if you have access to the online members page, there is a cookbook survey you can do :j
I hope everyone is having a nice day :j I fear I will be watching the clock creep ever closer to 5pm when I can head home and crash on the sofa
Tea will probably involved breaded chicken (more syns) but I am intending to serve with jackets and roasted veg so I hope it will balance out. There has been a distinct lack of veg and fruit in my meals recently so I'm trying to change this. I also need to work on reducing my syns.....

There must be something in the air FE as I haven't slept well for days. I had a bad night on Sunday and Monday, a good night on Tuesday and then another bad night last night. I keep waking at 3am - drenched - I hate this bloody menopause. Does anyone take anything natural for this? I really don't want to go on HRT if I can help it but it's getting worse and I'm exhausted.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
Hi everyone
Bf and I bit the bullet and toddled along to our local group last night. The consultant seems really nice and we're both excited to get stuck in. The scales put me at a nice (horrible) round number so I have a straight 9 stone to lose, bf has about 5 stone until his target. The consultant was talking about setting Christmas targets but she didn't really want to mention it yet, so that's still to come. I would love to lose 2.5 stone by Christmas, but I guess that depends on how the first week goes.
We came out of group and went straight to Tesco's. Came home with a load of fruit and veg and not much else. Think I will be stopping off on the way home for some cereal bars as I really struggled this morning. Plan for today:
B: Fruit and fibre and s/s milk (heb and hea - too much for heb as variety packs are 45g and book says to have 35g, so will have weetabix tomorrow)
L: couscous made with loads of veggies, some chopped ham and a can of mixed beanssome kind of lentil or bean curry, need to find a recipie
s: so far, 2 bananas, 1 apple plus 1 apple chopped up with a tbs of peanut butter on top (4.5 syns)
BF is veggie so for ease the majority of our dinners will be veggie based, going to stick to EE for now though so I don't have to think about whether or not I can have meat if I fancy it.
Sorry for the essay, looking forward to getting to know you all!0 -
I asked a friend of mine what the new bar was, but she hates nuts and seeds so never looked to see. does ANYONE on here know what it is? it cant be chocolate orange or something akin to that since thats already out in a large bar, so hmm....
today i had my own h/m veggie soup with a slice of nimble scrapingly buttered (HEB + 1syn?)
dinner is mums h/m veggie soup with something apparently. she hasnt decided what yet though.
might try to eat some of a very yellow pineapple too, though still not so fussed yet. will probably have a cuppa to get my HEA up and moving.
Cant wait til tomorrow - its the weekend, and as far as i remember, i am doing naft all squared... that means roaring fire, cheesefest of movies (my wintery faves are the home alone ones:o:o:o and a big fat cuppa:D)
ETA: actually.... i might try to go conker picking with the dog, since its that time of the year againI'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know
On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!0 -

Bargains from the asda sale arrived.. must remember I'm not the size I was...too big..too big..too bigall going back.
Gym starts next Tuesday woot!
Back to Basics for me. As it was noted that 1.5 is well off my usual 2-4lb loss and therefore I must be slipping  So food diary is wandering around with me all day as I eat.
Hope everyone else is in a more positive mood.
Well done on your weight loss and also for staying to group. SW have got to sort this because, as far as I can see, people are not staying to group - just weighing in and leaving and this could be a very worthwhile time. I wonder if anybody from SW ever reads this thread?
I drive 20 mile round trip to my group and very few stay behind now, although we have a huge number who weigh in. I am just worried that, if it carries on like this, I will stop staying and I can see no point at all in driving all that way and home again just to step on someone else's scales.0 -
Our group is the same, around 46-50 people come and get weighed and we have 20 or usually less that stay for group. Sad really and it really shows when it comes to stuff like the Slimmer of the Week basket etc************************************

Feeling much better today, only thing is now instead of being off my food, I have serious munchies!
Breakfast - Melon, Yogurt, 2x Alpen Light (B)
Lunch - Chicken salad, Blueberries, Apple
Snack - Raspberries, mug shot (first one ever...thought it would curb the munchies but thought it was rank ergh! lol)
Not sure what I am going to have for tea, I am thinking a HUGE pile of SW chips and some salad to stop me hitting the chocolate!
A fair few people stay to my group, my consultant is fab but I just think it isn't really for me. I love hearing the tips and getting inspiration from people who have embraced the plan. But there doesn't seem that many of these in my group and I know it sounds awful but it's tedious listening to the same people who gain or STS and then when the consultant makes suggestions to try and help they get all defensive. I know losing weight is hard but the consultant is only trying to help so why do people get an attitude with her? I remember one lady proper kicking off because the consultant suggested she should eat breakfast!Slimming World Target Achieved 13/09/12!0 -
Maybe they should make it cheaper for those who stay!Mediterranean Mum

:wave:welcome. I can see what you mean about the meat but, for example, on your menu for today the only meat you've had is the chopped ham. I'm not an expert on Green but you could have 100g of ham as a HEB and still have your milk, cereal and another HEA if you wanted. As your BF is a veggie, I'd have thoought he was keen to have the extra HEXs on Green. Good Luck, whatever you decide.:)0
