I keep seeing the new HiFi bar mentioned, is it meant to be a secret? I saw a poster at WI last week...I won't spoil it but I think it will be popular ;)

My consultant is trying to keep it a secret to reveal tonight at group. I really want to know though. I dont understand the whole secrecy though - especially if she isnt as fond of it as the rocky roads. plus, work have just decided to send me home (they think i have a chest infection) so there is no way im heading to group tonight to hear the reveal.
This morning I am feeling somewhere beyond rough although certain this is sinus infection/flu territory - pants! Also means that whilst I feel hungry I don't feel like I could stand long enough to make or eat anything, going to try and get a little more rest on the sofa and get a load of fluid in me then see what the state of play is.
Need to pull myself together and get on with things, need to go to the bakers and the bank at least.

awww lush!! my mum swears by warm milk but i cant say ive tried it. i personally prefer a cuppa, a cheesy movie and a fire in any order :)
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
  • Hi all,

Good to see you back Macpep, hope the procedure goes well. jealous about Alton Towers - love going there!

Stef - good to hear your son is doing better. How's your daughter getting on with it?

Hope you're all feeling better HP, Lush, Fluff

    Welcome Loulou

    Well done Lush, Krafty :D

Last day in work today til Tuesday as heading down to London tomorrow for this wedding. Out tonight so won't get any tea but my parents are at ours so my mum is going to make us some tea which we can heat up when we get in :) Stayed lower on syns that I was expecting this week as have been having bigger meals so haven't needed snacks. This has also made me want to stay low on syns as meals were all free and SF but are still quite hefty and more calories than i would normally have for meals so don't want to overdo it!

    Green today:
    B: Porridge (B), raspberries, milk (A)
L: OH is taking me somewhere near work - not sure where but will just be a sandwich bar/canteen so JP & beans if I can get it.
T: Pasta, tomato and veg sauce, bacon (B), cheese (A)
S: None if I can help it

If I'm not on again today 'see' you all on Tues :)

  • Morning all, good luck to any WI's today - me included!

To all those who are catching the lergy - get well soon.

Blodwen - Daughter is a HUGE pain in the behind, not having her at home for 8 months those fussy food habits disappear but now she is home dont i know it! My son eats whatever he has infront of him and there are only a few things like fresh toms he wont eat - cooked are fine within a meal, but madam well where do we start, she wont eat mushrooms, onoins, tomatoes, carrots, salad well a lot of the SF's to be honest so have been trying to get her to eat the main meal as we are (having to chop veggies tiny to hide them) and then stocking up on loads of fruit for her to fill bowls to take to work. Fruit she will eat endlessly and i think she is eating it like its going out of fashion here as her dad refused to buy any cos it was too expensive  On a good note she has steered away from the meals at work so hopefully it will show before long. She did join up with SW despite me telling her it wasnt worth it so roll on 7.30pm.

Me on the other hand had a sneeky peak on the scales yesterday and they were going in the right direction but today it looks like i have sts so will be really disappointed this week if i havent had a decent loss having followed SE most of the week and really staying on the lower end of syns.

    Meals today -

B, muesli, yogurt and huge bowl of strawbs and grapes.
    L, soup, banana and apple.
T, diet coke chicken, rice, steam fresh veggies. - May have this after WI though see how im feeling and whether the kids are starving when they get in.

My consultant is refusing to reveal the new bar but I really want to know! Anyone know when it's release date will be?

Got recordings of the great british bake off on the sky box and e4 to keep me company until the bf gets home (he only works half days) just about managed some water and toast. Not going to get anything done which frustrates me no end but I have orders to rest up until he is back to care for me :P Warm milk sounds so appetising right now though!

Would that have syns in it if not used as a HEB?:rotfl:

Seriously, mm how do you make your cheese sauce for cauliflower and count it as a HEX? I adore cauliflower cheese.

I couldn't stay to group today so can't help on the identity of the new bar, sorry. I have to report allegedly gaining 5.5lbs:eek: I don't think that's a true reading as I left my shoes, cardi and scarf on and left going to the loo until after. However, it served a purpose as I'm now back spot on target so didn't have to pay. I have a couple of restaurant meals coming up this week but otherwise plan to be positively angelic. Will do my meal plan later.

The 45g of grated mozzarella that I put on top is my HEA and if I haven't used my B then I'd mix the grated cheese with some breadcrumbs. Actually today I've had more of a green day so I just might do that.

The actual sauce I make with 1/2% soft white cheese, an egg and some stock to thin it. Season it well with salt and freshly grated black pepper. Really quick and really easy.

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j
  • Well I am 1.5 lighter this week than I was last. This 1/2 stone is proving a !!!!!! to lose. But Iwas the only one that stayed to group aside from the 10 new starters. I think the time has come to move groups to somewhere where I feel is more suited.

Bargains from the asda sale arrived.. must remember I'm not the size I was...too big..too big..too big :D all going back.
    Gym starts next Tuesday woot!
Back to Basics for me. As it was noted that 1.5 is well off my usual 2-4lb loss and therefore I must be slipping  So food diary is wandering around with me all day as I eat.
Hope everyone else is in a more positive mood.

Hi Macpep good to "see" you. Had a colonoscopy a month or so ago and totally agree, the prep is worse than the actual procedure. The plus side is that you lose weight though!!!

I also found it absolutely amazing that I was able to stick 100% to the plan during prep as I was having a medical procedure - just couldn't get my head how I could do that but not stick to SW 100%!!!

Good luck and have a great weekend.

Thanks Medmum, Well this is me now fasting until prob around 4 tomorrow, depending if I get taken on time. I have some lime jelly made up in fridge for when i go home later along with some chicken noodle soup (drained of the bits of course).
I didn't weigh myself at all this week, didn't see the point. I will let you know how I get on. Maybe we should tell ourselves SW is a medical procedure, that way we will stick to plan :rotfl:

That's what I thought I could tell myself after I had it but it didn't work!!!!!

Anyway good luck for tomorrow - hope you have a nice doctor - mine loves to tell me how "clean" I am!!!!!!!

  • Im back from wi...lost 3lb and got my stone sticker! Pleased with that as I had gained a lb last week ...though we had been away on 2 night break--but had eaten well--though didnt have all the fruit I normaly have so maybe that was why....also realised this morning that Id actualy upped my steroids to 9.5 instead of dropping to 8.5 mg for past 2 weeks at least---Im gutted about that--thought my face had gone rounder again...so Im back on 9 today and hoping to drop to 8.5 in a couple of weeks again....steroids head!
I might be crazy but I'm not stupid....
