Sorry I haven't been around much -flu season has arrived with avengance this weekend. Hubby is off work... and the backlog of laundry and snot covered kids bedding is overwhelming!
Well done to all those people that have stayed on course!
thats exactly how i feel, i begrudge spending on clothes now when theres a chance i may just have to do it all over again in a few months!
I didn't think I was going to lose any more when I spent so much in the states.. I've lost 10cm in a month on my waist.. how stupid do I feel?:rotfl:

I'm going to get through winter with very baggy jumpers & holding my jeans up with belts.
I refuse to contemplate buying anything new until spring.

I've taken to buying in charity shops. I've just got a Debenhams wool coat for £4 and it just fits nicely, spent £10 in another store, coming out with 1 brand new pair of TU smart trousers 2 Next jeans (don't fit -yet) and two DP tops.. :D makes up for having to sell the skinny jeans I bought in the States just a month ago that now fall off me when ever I think about moving. (had to hold them up as walking back from school. I really should buy a belt. ) Bagged a bundle of clothes on ebay for £15 so I am sorted.
Lotta stuff going on ebay though that I have hardly worn!

Don't know whether to were the jeans tonight for WI ( as I wore them last week - consultant blamed that on my STS) or wear the new trews that will last for a month or two before I drop another size! I think I will go with the trews.. though I had hoped to find another pair of jeans to keep the scales "balanced":D

Had a thought, (brought on by Flat Eric's aim this week!) How about a weekly SW MSE challenge? Those of us that go to group might (depending on how organised your consultant is) get such, but those that don't are missing out. Like group you don't HAVE to take part - but it does help to keep the focus. What do you think people?

There was/is consultant training weekends happening so there will be lots of new facts - and old reminders kicking about. My friend tells me that only EXTRA LEAN Mince is FREE everything else has a syn value. (lean having 2 syns per 100g :eek:she said but I will confirm it.) Makes for expensive meals. I didn't know this though so have been sabotaging without knowing ..(albeit it mildly!)
Just made a quiche with bacon, eggs and cottage cheese with chives... Goregous.. Hubby ate all but a tiny piece which i had as a taster! and thats in a 12 inch flan dish!

    Hello Ladies

I have not been on much lately, not exactly been sticking to plan either, since my last post I have put on 2lb, not the end of the world, as of next week I will be back on the Wagon. After all my ‘poo troubles’ I am going in for a colonoscopy on Friday which will give me a good clear out (not funny I really am dreading the prep) not the actual procedure. I am hating the low fibre diet, missing my fruit, veg n wholemeal stuff already :(
I have been mainly been off plan due to not having a meal plan in place as since DS started school, the amount of clubs that have become open to him is unbelievable all now that he is P1!! I have began building a supply up of meals which are in the chest freezer so it’s a start. DD’s birthday on Saturday, we are taking her to Alton Towers on Sunday so travelling down & staying over on the Saturday so I have a day to recover. Hope you are all well & still losing. I have a joint party with my friend for our 40th Birthday  so plan to lose at least another 7lbs by then.

    p.s WELCOME BACK MACPEP1 !!! :j

  • Later than usual popping in today but I've been back to my parents and in to Sheffield to do a few jobs.

Breakfast was 2 Hi Fi light bars (will be syning these as using my HeB for bread later...) and 2 satsumas - I ate them over the space of 3 hours though as I wasn't particularly hungry
L: mugshot - 1.5syns according to the website
T: (post weigh in) Steak sandwich using HeB for the bread

HeA will be milk before bed

WI for me at 5.30 so praying for that 1.5lb to be gone! Been good syns wise and been doing 2-3hours of walking etc everyday so positive thoughts!

Hoping everyone is having a good day!

Hi Macpep good to "see" you. Had a colonoscopy a month or so ago and totally agree, the prep is worse than the actual procedure. The plus side is that you lose weight though!!!

I also found it absolutely amazing that I was able to stick 100% to the plan during prep as I was having a medical procedure - just couldn't get my head how I could do that but not stick to SW 100%!!!

Good luck and have a great weekend.

Well since my daughter has come back home he seems to have settled down a fair bit on the excessive eating but i think that is also down to me no longer buying so much or making sure i only buy it on the days he needs it so theres nothing to gorge on. Since our initial chat when he was told any gains and we stop going he has had really good loses, 3.5lb for two weeks and 2lb last week, tomorrow is D-Day though. Thanks for asking.

  • Evening all and welcome to any new comers.

I've been feeling a bit under the weather the last couple of days, nothing major, just been feeling really tired and off my food so although I've used all my syns plus 1.5, I haven't actually eaten much compared to normal. I was doing a red day but messed it up a bit, think I've had 3x B choices but I am maintaining so hopefully doesn't matter.

    Breakfast - Melon

Lunch - Chicken, salad and cheese sandwich (2xB 1xA)

Tea - Refried Beans (B?) Salad, Cheese (A)

    Syns - Ice Cream 13.5 Jelly (3)

I've got WI tomorrow so will be interested to see how I have done of my 1st week of maintenance, I had a look this morning and I was the same as last week so hopefully STS
