Well done everyone on your weight losses! Your all doing amazing, really keeps you going coming on here.
Are we allowed to save syns up for the weekend or do we have to use them everyday?
completely up to you! some people do 15 a day or 105 over 7 days. means if you know you will be going out on say a friday and dont want to use flexi syns and want to still be as SW as poss, you can use none or virtually none for the other 6 days and have nearly your whole 105 to eat and drink whatever you want, whilst still technically being on plan.
everyone has their own ways of doing it though. depends what works for you. some people on here have a syn box with the weeks syns counted into it in choccy and wine.
try a few of the ways and see which you find works best. i found i generally was way under my 15 during the week and needed the extra few at weekend so i tend to do 105 over 7 days.0 -
Hello
Can I join you?
Ive done 2 wks so far and lost 1 1/2 in 1st week and 1 this week
Bit disappointed really as I've been so good

Hi Everyone - back from the first of the "festivals" this month and I just about survived. The first day was better than the second and the only syns I had were a couple of glasses of wine. The second day I ended up eating some cake which I shouldn't have had but apart from that I was more or less in control.
One of the best things I made, which went down really well with my guests, was a mixed grain ring. I diced (very small) lots of veg (red onion, red pepper, sweet potato, courgette) and sauteed them in Frylight. Then added a cup and a half of mixed grains (pearl barley, lentils, white rice, wild rice) and added 4 cups of stock. Once it'd cooked down and almost all of the liquid absorbed I poured it into a ring mold and covered it with foil and baked it in the oven. I served it turned out on to a plate and filled the middle with stir-fried brussel sprouts. It had the wow factor and everyone loved it.
Today it's back on plan ready for the next round next week!

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
Morning all
I would like at next week's weigh in to lose at least 3 pounds..... That means I have to have a really good week. I am feeling positive so I am hopeful I can resist the lure of the naughty treats.
The only spanner in the works this week is a family party I have been invited to. Its from midday (I think) and involves food (naughty food!) I was thinking of eating a hearty breakfast / early lunch before I go (and would welcome ideas for things to have). Also, I was thinking of taking some of my own food to eat and would welcome ideas of what to take?
Have a lovely day all :j0 -

Definitely have normal breakfast and lunch before you go. Keep a glass of something diet in your hand during the party - you can't eat from a plate if you have a drink in your other hand;)
Tell the hostess that you want to bring something and ask her for a brief outline of the food she's making then you can bring something suitable to the rest of the table but which you know is completely "allowed".
Finally, remember, just because it's there doesn't mean you have to eat it - there are others who can do that for you!!!!Mediterranean Mum
