I want to enjoy Christmas, but don't want to undo all my hard SW work so far. Any suggestions for minimising the damage and not being an old grump because I feel I'm missing out?;)
Lost 38.5 lb with SW so far, 56LB to go!:A

Have you tried.. trifle with sugar free jelly , fresh fruit ie. raspberries etc on top of light digestive biscuits, low fat custard on top of that and then extra light cream. make in individual dishes. Yummy!
Or cheese cakes.75gm light digestives at the bottom crushed.200 grams light condensed mik.150gm extra light cream cheese ie Quark. 150 gm 0% greek yoghurt 250gm strawberries or similar fruit. makes 6
Have fun making these I did.:j

Crumble biscuits and press in individual dishes.mix milk until thickened whisk cheese and yoghurt with a squeeze of lemon juice till smooth. Fold into the milk Spoon over biscuit chill 1hr chop strawberries or whatever fruit
    place on top. Enjoy

just had an experiment using quark for the first time.. mini quiches for the xmas party.. only had bacon in so cut it up small, finely diced onion done in a bit of frylight, into muffin tray then mixed 3 eggs and a dollop of quark, added a few herbs and seasoning and poured over then put a slice of tomato on the top.. bit of guesswork on how long to cook but they were delicious!

will do some veggie ones too I think :)

I've been struggling a bit with the 'missing out' thing recently, partly because it's 'one off' food like tins of biscuits and chocs that aren't around for most of the year, and partly because people are bringing them in and giving them away, and like a good MSEr I hate to turn down free food! Anyway, I have been trying to think of it like this: it's not that I can't have it, it's that I'm choosing not to because I've worked hard this year and don't want to undo that good work with things that will probably be disappointing anyway- it's working for me so far although do still feel a bit cheated by not having any of the massive box of Thorntons chocs in the office yesterday :(. The other option is just to have one or a bit of something, which would hopefully satisfy the longing and may even make you think 'actually, that wasn't that great'. Worth a go!
