Stayed the same this week, which I'm OK with. Had a few mulled wines this week which I wouldn't normally and a couple of meals out, but I did choose sensibly.
Bought the new SW mag and tried Carrot, Coriander and Red Lentil soup which was in the little free recipe booklet. It is delicious and very filling. There are some lovely recips in there.
Talking of things being filling, does anybody else feel they can't eat so much now? I have just had SW Pot Roast chicken with leeks, tarragon, potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic etc and I don't think I could eat half of what I used to. I never eat between meals so it wasn't that. Maybe I am finally shrinking inside.
went for works xmas meal last night.. was carvery so not too bad.. didn't have a sausage, stuffing or Yorkshire.. but did had cheesecake for dessert....have felt like I've a housebrick in my stomach all day.. bloated and uncomfortable!
was sure i'd have gained tonight but stayed the same also so not disappointed.. no class for 2 weeks for me as going away, not going to go mad tho!
made the mini quiches and some onion bhaji bites with a dip for the group xmas party.. they went down well, quark is my new friend!
have a great Christmas all... and hope those of you under the weather are feeling better soon x0 -

Thank you all for the well wishes. SW food hasnt been a problem its getting 3 meals a day in that is. Sleeping through the morning because not slept during the night means i miss breakfast so been trying to do it that i have a bowl of porridge as a snack instead when i get hungry between meals or around 9pm at night.
must try that it sounds lovely.. how about some chilli powder to give a bit of a kick to it?0 -

I did season my soup very well after I'd whizzed it. Did he add ground coriander and then some fresh at the end? I have to say I was a bit surprised at the amount of lentils the recipe said but I stuck to it and added more than the litre of water they recommended.0 -
Having another bad day today - stress and eating out of annoyance
Started off well - porridge (HeB) made with 125ml semi skimmed (from HeA) and 125ml water eaten with (2) worth of Nutella, tea with milk from HeA.
Hell on Earth has a name and that name is Morrisonsafter sheer annoyance in store I took a few (3 small ones to be exact) bites of my dad's sausage roll (i have no idea on syns for this
Lunch was HM soup again (0.5)
2 hm biscuits (3) some marzipan (whilst covering a Christmas cake) not as much as I thought, just weighed out 25g and I could only have had half of that so (2.5) for that.
So that's (8) without even counting the sausage roll bites and without meaning most of them. Boredom, stress and dehydration (I always reach for a nibble rather than a drink it seems) are the only things to blame!
Tea will be (6) as I will bulk out my portion of sauce with veg and half it.
Total of (14+) for the daymad at myself as I topped out on syns yesterday too. I could be sneaky and make my tea with Quorn mince but then half the beef mince would go to waste and we can't afford that.
Tomorrow will be so much better I am certain (read determined). Mainly because I will be syn free until the evening - poached egg on toast for brekkie with baked beans, followed by fruit, lunch will be fruit and a mugshot (free) and then it's a Chinese (almost zero syn, definitely less than 5 [love the take away we use!]) and I could end up having a small glass of wine but more than likely will just drink diet coke (at bf's parents to get hair/nails/etc done and have a dvd night).
Lots of walking as I'm taking pup to the groomers and will then just walk him about a bit aiming to tire him out a little
Now I need to pick my stinky attitude up, brush it off and make a free snack as tea will be a late one tonight!************************************

Well, it was another 1½ this week, slow, but the only thing I find hard sometimes is the carbs as I am insulin dependant diabetic. Anyone any tips for me? E.g. can't have soup on its own for example must have carbs too.
The insulin doses have reduced quite a bit with just 9 ½ loss, I am amazed, I feel so pleased when I see a 5-6 reading in the morning, as I have struggled for years with Hypos when I diet.
Bit aprehensive about Christmas food but I paid for 12wks which takes me to February. Weighting in again on Monday, then Partee well gently anyway.
Merry Christmas to You All. x

Hi all & welcome to all the newbies. Am still lurking, feeling too lousy to contribute much though
. After suffering with sciatica, I just about get over it when I get the filthy cold thats invaded our class. Term has finally ended and the tickle that developed Thursday and evolved into a hacking cough thats threatening to go to my chest [can feel it starting to rattle]. Have had a lousy 3 weeks which doesn't look like it will change any time soon. Also * week so have decided to lock my scales up until after Christmas and hope for the best. Have gained steadily again so fully expecting to be above target but to be honest feel so rough I don't care [she says as she beats herself up about it
].
I hope everyone has a good Christmas and will see you all in the New Year. Probably still lurk around though :rotfl:.
Good luck all and keep the faith even though I'm struggling :A:A:A:AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
Keep the Faith All
