  • Sharalee99 welcome! This is going to be a great year. SW is great and this forum really useful as support.
    2014 reach my best.

    Hello all.
I have finally decided I have had enough of being the size I am, and am signing up to SW online on 2nd Jan. (No classes in the Northern Isles)
I think I probably need to lose at least 4.5 stone :o. I am fed up with having a bad back and constantly being tired and ill. I've been reading through this thread, and can see how you all support each other, and am looking forward to joining in, tho I suspect for the first wee while, I will only be asking a thousand questions :D
I have great support here, as my hubby is going to be doing it with me, so I look forward to getting to know you all better in the New year.
:T:j Welcome aboard, plenty of support here to be had. My suggestion is to decide on 1 day and 1 set of scales... perhaps the day you head into town to do some shopping every week and use the chemist/boots scales. These seem to be the closest to WI scales.
    1000 questions always welcome!

WI this morning - (heh.. go me) other group is on at the wrong time whilest Holiday Season is with us. Shiny new book pack. Gonna keep my old one though, that has all my stickers on.
In a week (including DD's bday and Christmas.) I've gained 6 1/2 lbs
So for all of you that are enjoying the choc/sweet/pastry/white bread - keep in mind IT WILL SHOW.
I haven't had my usual amount of exercise either so I suspect it will go fairly fast when the school run returns.
Hope to have rid of the Christmas Excess by mid Jan, and be back at target but I have to say being able to indulge the way I have - (2 choc oranges, 1 box maltesters, white bread, cheese pastry based quiches, cake, gingerbread, gallons of wine/baileys well maybe not gallons.. :D) - it has really made it feel special.

On a side note.. new thread for the new year anyone? Less daunting for the new starters - or more confusing?

  • Ok, here is the first of the thousand questions...:D
What is the difference between a green day and an original day?
I guess once I actually sign up I will find these things out!

    TIA

I'll pop in again to chat

    bye for now
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
  • Congrats msgnomey, a pair of great losses there :)

I went to WI last night and managed to maintain! Well happy with that :) A couple of days on track now before new year :)

The new packs are lovely, got mine last night and our consultant let those who wanted to transfer all their award stickers across. Did mine as I find them motivational, although I stuck them on in a definite order/position unlike they were on my old book - I'm retentive like that!

There are a few changes to some Healthy Extras but nothing too major - some additions, some amounts seem to have gone up (weights of cereal, measures of some milk) by small amounts. Nothing that really effects me so I'm lucky I guess!

Are you more of a meat and fish person or do you prefer spuds/pasta/rice?

  • Can anyone advise what happens if you are in the middle of a 12 week countdown course and reach target? Would your remaining weeks that have been pre-paid still be taken from you even though you're in target?
It's BARGAIN, BARGAIN, got it? Bargin my ****.
  • I'm back! And I'm staying!

Put on 2.5lbs over the festive season - more than happy with that as I put on 8.5lbs last year!

But am not much lighter than i was this time last year - so i need to address that! Menopause or no menopause!

Have just made some lentil soup - DD1 tells me i may have overspiced it! Looking forward to more soup in the new year...
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

    Hi People,

Just wondering if anyone knows off the top of their heads of some free cup a soups or such like? I'm thinking about when I go back to work, I'd like to have a cup a soup at lunch time. I know I could make my own, but they aren't as tasty from past experience, and I can't be bothered!

I always do Green as I'm a veggie, so any free or very low sin cup a soup or tins that I can microwave would be fab.

    Thanks in advance
