    Or the tomato soup?

    2 tins tomatoes
    1 tin carrots
    1 tin beans
    stock
    1/2 pint water
pickled onions or a chopped onion.

    Chuck all into pot.
    Heat through & then blend.
    Tis surprisingly nice.

SW isn't unsafe, it's probably one of the safest. And I'd recomend it to anyone.
However, slow and steady is the way. I constantly lost. Week on week never gained unless "on target" and doc thinks its the SPEED at which I lost and amount over such a short period (competative person that I am ;) ) that is what I must raise caution about.
Don't look at others great losses and wish it was you..your body knows what its doing.:D

Thanks for that shellie. I took what is often called the scenic route (just under 3.5 stones in about 10 months) so averaged less than 1.5 lbs a week. It worked for me as I figured if I wasn't too harsh with myself (many flexi meals out, holidays where I was almost completely off plan) I could keep it up long term. I admit I did look enviously at people who did it much faster but maybe I'm just a tortoise by nature!:)

Other than upping SFs anyone else got any tips/tricks they use?

Don't worry if you don't manage it by Christmas. It's a difficult time of the year to stay on plan and an extra few weeks won't matter in the grand scheme of things. It's very common to take an age to lose the last few pounds, certainly was for me. You've managed to fit into a size 10 Christmas dress so you're doing brilliantly.:T

What I would advise is spending some time re-reading your books. Be meticulous about any measuring/weighing of foods. Write yourself a meal plan with plenty of SS foods and stick to it. Basically, like starting afresh.
  • Sorry in advance for the essay this post may turn in to!

Breakfast: baked beans and 2 poached eggs
Lunch: Homemade chicken and sweetcorn soup (1.5 syn)
Tea: no idea as it will be after group - bf will probably have something from the chippy, if only so I can get change for my train home after work on Friday! I think I will just have toast or a sandwich and some fruit, because I'm getting back from group increasingly later now that my consultant has closed one of her groups the one I attend is much larger I find I'm less and less hungry when I get back

Snacks will be satsumas and apples, oh and some veggies
    HeB: wholemeal roll after group
    HeA: 250ml semi skimmed milk

It's my last two days with tot and I've been offered some freelance work on the side so will have a few extra pennies coming in until I get a fulltime position so that's a weight off my mind. Today I am feeling under-valued by bf which isn't great but I have this raging cold and he's not looking after me :( but I'm still doing all the cooking, washing, general chores, de-icing the car for him each morning (that last one I don't mind so much as he can't really do it as he can't stand long enough to!) etc! I think everything in general will improve once I have more work as we won't be together all the time apart from the few hours a day he is at work :)

    Hello all,

Quick one again as still really busy with new job- it's a challenge but going well and I'm enjoying it. Good thing about being so busy is I haven't thought about food at all until mealtimes  so unlike me! :) Should all help towards losing this week's gain though. Oh and I forgot to say, I must have dropped my SW card at class last week as someone had handed it in, phew!

Massive well done to you kjm - fab achievement :D

    Green for me again:
    B: porridge (B), raspberries, pineapple, milk (A)
    L: L/O spicy beanburgers, pineapple
T: Probably pasta with low low cheese sauce (A) and pesto (3)
    S: satsuma, rocky (5.5)

    :)

    Weight loss - Apr '12 -Sept '13: 95lb
  • So, i went to class last night, 2nd one, and i've put 1lb on. Now granted, I only actually started the diet on Monday, rather than straight after my first class. I've also discovered that it's unexpectedly 'that time of the month' this morning, so i'm thinking i've probably maintained my weight, but with the additional water/bloating i've technically put on a lb. I'm not fussed tbh. My plan is to get used to the diet, what i can and can't have over Christmas, but still enjoy christmas. I'm only going out a couple of times as well, so drinking isn't going to be a big thing. Fingers cross! I'm actually looking forward to New Year.

Out of interest, I'm considering a 'Hypnoband'. Any thoughts about doing both? xx
