    Hello everyone

I haven't been around for ages but thanks for the shiney new thread. I've been plodding along and finally got to target on Thursday! :j I originally went for 7lbs lower but I am happy at this weight so decided call it now :j

I have just realised that I don't actually know what I am supposed to be doing to maintain? I was so excited that I never thought to ask and just sort of assumed I would carry on as I was but then someone pointed out that I should be eating more?

    What does everyone else do?

Many congratulations, you have done really well. Up the HE one at a time, you'll soon get the hang of maintaining x

First of all HP very very well done :j
Same as you, I was not told one way or the other how to proceed with maintaining. I have mentioned on other threads that the support is aplenty whilst losing but it dries up at reaching target.
I got a certificate and a shiny sticker but did not get a pin badge so I have just rang my consultant and she is ordering me one which will take a few weeks to come. :D

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!

Well done HP :j It must be such an amazing feeling to get to target.

Today I have tried 2 new recipes, one was a cheesy pasta bake which is in Octobers slimming world mag and it was really nice, I will definitely make it again.

The other was for a scan bran carrot cake and it was absolutely rank, definitely won't be making that again :rotfl:
Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j

    Slimming World Target Achieved 13/09/12!
  • I told myself than when I got to target I was going to have a pizza and a dessert to treat myself. I know it's not ideal treating myself with food but I'm glad I did because I've had a bit of a revelation...I had the pizza and you know what? I really did not enjoy it. I have realised that actually I would much rather eat a lovely SW friendly meal that is not greasy and doesn't make you feel rubbish afterwards!

I ended up not eating the dessert either and saving it until the next day which is also a miracle because in the old days I would have eaten it anyway, even if I was full up.

Now don't get me wrong, it hasn't all been easy, I've had weeks where I have eaten rubbish and even this weekend I had a few extra treats than I should have but I do finally feel like I am more in control of what I eat which I have battled with for 6 years....I LOVE SLIMMING WORLD!

That's great CH27, good that you're back on the wagon and planning! Don't worry that you're a bit over syns today. I've always done that at weekends and balanced them out through the week.

    Welcome kraftycat

HP, I'm another target member (just over a year) and found that the extra HEXs weren't the way to go, although I do have a bit of extra bread and cheese. I suppose we all have to find our own way to an extent. I've found that I'm so ingrained in SW that even when I think I'm 'relaxing' a bit I keep losing. My problem has been staying within target range becuse I keep falling below. I have a fairly busy social life on and off so what I tend to do is have flexi meals (and drinks:D)when I'm out but plan and shop for SW when I'm at home. That way I can't be tempted to eat rubbish at home because I just don't have it in. So unless I'm on holiday, when I go flexi it tends to be just the one meal in a day.

Good luck for this week's WIs everyone!
