I'm having a real wobble at the moment
I've totally lost focus:(
Is it worse than my half a tub of nutella and 2 slices of toast for lunch, even though I already had my heb for breakfast?
I feel like I need a huge kick up the bum at the moment.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
Welcome to the new folk
Hope you can find a comfy spot, don't be scared to join in.
I am finding the weather change messing with my food plans, I want comfort foods.I'm having a real wobble at the momentI've totally lost focus:(

 Wobbly moments (I'm having a fair few scoffed a few more than I planned on the Cheddars last night - at 1 syn a bicky I think I stopped before I went the wrong side of 15! ) Kick in the bum requested?Thats a tad painful...
Think of it this way..loose 1lb a week and be a stone lighter by christmas day. Loose 1/2 every week and that still half a stone off. Imagine - just for a minute - turning up at the christmas party and all the comments that will come, how flattered you will be, and how centre of attention you will become. Wouldn't it be nice to get the dress you want rather than having to buy that "Flattering the tummy" pair of trousers and floaty top...again.;)
Imagine being slimmer when the kids go back to school after Christmas, and instead of wishing you was the one that looked great.. you being that one that causes all that green eyed envy at the school gates.
Imagine hitting the January sales because you need a whole new...(upto date) wardrobe.... and all the bargains you'll snag...and the heads that will turn again!
So... now look at that chocolate bar/cake/packet of crisps... Is it worth it? Just one won't do any harm will it? Hmm:p It's the next one after it that sets the guilt off...and then the comfort eating begins for me.
:TYou CAN do it... if YOU want to.:T Do you want to is the question
New Stuff Alert: Asda has a new Fat Free Yoghurt under the Chosen by You brand. 1/2 syn a pot and 4 in a pack at £1.50... (the vanilla makes for good curries) work out cheaper than the Mullers. Slightly larger than the mullers too.
Meals for me today:
Omlette with peppers and syn free sausages for breaky (Nom Nom Nom)
Lunch is Super Speed Soup. (Dynorod as I believe it is also called - in my opinion lacks in meat but otherwise yummy)
Dinner: Home made Chicken and Leak pie (3 syns) with roasties, and veg. (mmmm pastry!)0 -
Certainly with you Shellie on getting focused and reasons behind why we are all losing weight and what keeps us motivated to stick to plan. When i joined up with SW it was because my son approached me to lose weight with support beyond what i could offer him so initially only joined up to understand the plan and because he needed someone over 18 to go with him. Now several weeks down the line my head is stuck on - my mom didnt like me this size while she was alive so i dont need to stay this way. And like you say when the temptation of a binge arises i just think of her and the urges disipate.
Today however, im struggling trying to plan ahead. I have a wedding party this evening to go to. I know nothing of plans for food or even if there will be any as the party we have been invited to is at a local pub and have been asked to attend anytime after 4pm. So breakfast taking it easy with poached eggs and a small tin of toms, Lunch havent got a clue - kids have got some quorn and pea risotto that was left over from making my daughters food for work yesterday. So if anyone has any ideas please wing them this way!!! Really want to see a good drop this week and not another gain.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

I've not had anything I shouldn't have had but i've not had enough of what I should have.
I cannot be *rsed planning, shopping, cooking or even thinking about SW & that is alarming meTry to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Morning all - totally agree Shelliehollie, last year my outfit for the works xmas party was a pair of elasticated waist black wide legged trousers size 22. They were tight at the top of my legs and you could see every lump of cellulite
; I bought a floaty top in a lovely purple colour, size 24 - it had sheer floaty sleeves to cover my arms.
This year I am aiming for a dress in a size 16. Every time I feel like falling off the wagon, I think about that xmas outfit... last year's is still hanging in the wardrobe and before I go to the party this year I am going to try it on.Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000

WI and I've STS. getting a bit sick of this cycle now!0

EvilSquid - I said it before and I'll repeat: There are people that are struggling with the "sts" and still losing - it's a feat in itself. (though damned annoying nevertheless
)
Stef - I have found that changing you if for YOU not because someone else wants it that way. In my many diet littered past I have failed so many times beccause SOMEONE ELSE disaproved of my size, shape or health.
Only twice have I lost weight and maintained it - because I wanted to. Once with Slimming World and once going it alone. Stress got the better of me last time, SW is teaching me more than how to plan my food, I am seeing how I treat it, react because of other stuff, mood swings etc. Feel like I am in control of it now
With regard to weddings and nights out, I tend to Flexi syn or set a limit of syns that I plan on burning through. Not that it helps when your guessing about everything on your plate though!
CH27 - I had a CBA phase in June/July.. I kinda coasted along for a few weeks. I was lucky that something caused my focus to revert back and start messing with home cooked ideas. Set yourself a challenge or something... refocus your aims.0 -
Thank you for the new thread! :-D I got my shopping for the week, I have planned out all my meals so I am ready to get started on Monday. No more excuses, and no more beating myself up over the weight gain I will do it this time, slowly, there is no rush.8k in 2015 Challenge ( #167)0

Hello everyone
I haven't been around for ages but thanks for the shiney new thread. I've been plodding along and finally got to target on Thursday! :j I originally went for 7lbs lower but I am happy at this weight so decided call it now :j
I have just realised that I don't actually know what I am supposed to be doing to maintain? I was so excited that I never thought to ask and just sort of assumed I would carry on as I was but then someone pointed out that I should be eating more?
What does everyone else do?Slimming World Target Achieved 13/09/12!0
