We are really lucky in a way as live in a villiage with 2 chineses and one indian & no chains so no temptation.
My friend had made the most amazing curry & gave me some for my tea.
It had cocconut milk & mango in it  & I had it with plain rice.
Hope she makes it again very soon!I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. We drive to a near-ish Chinese if we fancy one, but only because they don't deliver, their portions are huge so last us two meals and it's good value too
Hmmm trying to plan ahead for tomorrow:
B: bran flakes and milk (HeB+part HeA)
S: satsumas
L: HM soup (1syn)
S: satsuma, banana/apple (depending on what I can pick up cheapish in town)
T: (post group) turkey with rice, veggies and sauce since we didn't have it tonight. Although I may not have much/any sauce (5syns max)
Other part of HeA as milk in cups of tea
Anybody know what Lidl is like for fruit? price and quality wise - apples and bananas are my primary thoughts************************************

Sorry to hear so many of you struggling and having a hard time lately. As beanie said, Keep Plodding, it really is worth it in the end. :Tto kjmt, so not all bad news.
I know we keep labouring the point but on EE it's sooo important to get your SFs in whether it's at each meal, with a fruit snack between meals or whatever works for you. IMO the main reason Success Express ups the SFs to two-thirds is because they wrok.
I looked at yesterday's meal plans and thought:
pennylane, you really should use up your syns unless you're saving them for later in the week. I haven't checked on the HEX list but I would imagine porage, crackerbread and milk (in porage/drinks?) would be 3 HEXs not the two you have on EE. And there are syns in tinned fruit but you can afford them. Your SFs for the day would be your soup and a banana which is maybe a bit light.
vixtress, if you hadn't had/synned that turkey then it would have been a green day and you could have ignored SFs and treated yourself to more HEXs!
I know it's nit-picking but if your weightloss is starting to stall then tweaking/attention to a few details may be enough to get you going again.
I had a good EE day yesterday but DH persuaded me to have a snack size bag of quavers late last night. Fortunately they were my only syns. I was cross about those because although I searched there were no weights on the outer or individual bags. I had to do the most amazing mental maths in the shop as I was trying to work out whether they were good value. Manufacturers don't help!!
Today's going OK so far but I have made a sauce for tonight's pork with some syns in but that'll be OK shared with DH and alongside everything else.
Maman - thanks for taking the time and trouble to try and sort me out.I make my oatbran porridge with half skimmed milk and half water and the rest of my skimmed milk is from my allowance. I always use tinned fruit (which I don't have very often as I prefer fresh) and make sure its in its own juice.
I think my SF is still a bit light though as you say. I hardly ever use my syns.
I am dreading going tomorrow night to be honest. Our consultant is not very good I'm afraid and I no longer stay behind to group because it is so dull. She never seems bothered that we all weigh and leave straight away and makes no attempt to ask you how you're getting on.

You can have certain tinned fruits as HEB if you look at the online food diaries.
Sukeyboo - ovaltine is 5syns per sachet/ equivalent in tsps. The original is 4.5syns for same amount.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Morning all,
Busy day at work today then out to a gig in town tonight so got the slow cooker on the go for the first time in months. Out tomorrow night as usual and late tea so will save half of the casserole for then. I love feeling organised - went food shopping last night then came home and prepared tea/today's lunch and the stuff for the slow cooker so didn't get to eat til 7.30, but is worth it to know everything is ready and counted
EE today:
B: Bran flakes (B), milk (A), banana, raisins (1.5)
L: L/O chicken wrapped in bacon, new potatoes, carrots, broccoli, gravy (1)
T: Sausage & veg casserole, mash, broccoli
S: Clementine, Rocky (5.5)
Hope everyone is doing well and those who have been struggling are feeling a little better2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Thanks for that Stef - is that for the Ovaltine Chocolate Light? I have mine out of a tub and only use 2 tsp as I only have a very small mug of it so I am guessing that is less than comes in the sachets?
EE for me (as usual) today:
B: 1 slice of wholemeal toast HEB (from an 800g loaf) with 1/2 tin of baked beans, 1/2 grapefruit & 1/2 banana
L: Small wholemeal roll HEB, 1 slice of ham, plenty of tomato, cucumber & watercress, scraping of sweet pickle (1 syn), Muller light FF greek style lemon yogurt (1/2 syn)
T: Tuna pasta bake (using Napolina tomato & chilli pasta sauce from a jar - not sure on the syn value?) - cheese on top will be HEA with a mixed green salad
S &Small juice (2 syns), green tea, banana, apple, satsuma
As I am maintaining, am I right in thinking I can have extra HEA & B? I sometimes have 2 of each on EE but not every day. I don't go to a group so I rely on you lovely people to advise me
Blodwen, you are so right about being organised - I was supposed to prep all the stuff for a chicken casserole in my slow cooker last night but didn't get around to it (too lazy to be honest!) - now I will have to dash around to get dinner ready before I have to go out tonight and use a ready made sauce which is such a waste of syns - doh!!!!0 -
Sukeyboo - Ovaltine chocolate is 76cals for a 20g serving with 200ml of water so would be 4syns. The Napolino is 15 syns per jar.
EE day for me today.
B, 2 weetabix, apple and banana. heb +hea
L, soup - hm not sure what yet. 2plums.
T, chicken breast jacket potato and veg (swede, carrots and sprouts) pineapple.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

i would really apreciate if someone could have alook at my plan for today, i am having what i think is a green day, although i'm not sure ive got it right (im not following the plan properly, am 'going it alone')
am i right in thing i get 2 HE's instad of 1 (for the fibrey type one)? i hope so.
here goes:
2 small slices of WM toast & 2 boiled eggs (no butter)
Satsuma
WM pitta with cabbage and laughing cow light (better than it sounds) pear
a roasted chicken mugshot (from supermarket, i am told these are free)
homemade syn free veg chilli with SW chips and a blob of quark
will have skimmed in tea through the day and syns will be a large glass of red tonight
doesnt exactly look like a dieters menu
