Good morning and thanks for the help yesterday.
So.....today is my first day although there are a few things that were already in and will need eating so may be a little off track until I do a proper shop.

Could you have a look ago my plan for the day and let me know if I'm on the right track. :D

Breakfast: strawberry @ banana smoothie made with unsweetened almond milk ( less cals and fat than skimmed milk) ? HeA?
1 slice wm toast with a boiled egg ?HEB ?

Lunch: left over roasted BNS ( in fry light) spinach and wafer thin ham

Dinner: healthy Hm chicken & veg curry with quinoa

Snacks: boiled egg, apple, pear, satsuma and 2 glasses wine (syns)

    Is this about right?

I think I'm getting obsessed with boiled eggs :rotfl:

1 slice wm toast with a boiled egg ?HEB ? this is fine for HeB, is it a slice from a big loaf or little loaf? if you get 400gm loaf you can have 2 slices :D

Lunch: left over roasted BNS ( in fry light) spinach and wafer thin ham

Dinner: healthy Hm chicken & veg curry with quinoa sounds great, just make sure it's cooked to SW ways

Snacks: boiled egg, apple, pear, satsuma and 2 glasses wine (syns) just check syns on wine ;)

    Is this about right?

Looking good vixtress just a couple of points but someone else may be able to confirm :)

You would need to syn your smoothie too as processed or cooked fruit carries syns as it doesn't have the same filling value and whole fruit.

What size loaf is your wholemeal bread? If it's 400g (small one) you can have 2 slices as a B, if it's a larger one you need to weigh it to ensure it's 60g

Are you a SW member? as you may need to check the syns of your ham as some do have syns (I think this is due to them being reconstituted etc)

And then you're curry - could you list what's in it? as some things may have syn values e.g the type of yogurt you may use or coconut based products etc

Oh no, I eat loads, thought it was all free! Checking on-line now! See, that's what I love about coming on here, you all know so much!
Lost 38.5 lb with SW so far, 56LB to go!:A

  • :DHi ya fluff. How 'nice' of your friend to comment so!
Not made the dyno rod especially. Did chuck a bag of Asdas prepared root veg, sweet potato, with a box of passata, oxo, chickpeas and herbs (cumin for that winter warmth) in the slow cooker a week or two back- it was lunch for the week! I dropped 4lb that week!:D

In our household we seem to have Hand Foot and Mouth - or Norvo Virus.. rashes and sickness everywhere. Hubby has been told to stay home till clear. He doesn't get sick pay so tight month ahead at the wrong side of christmas. :(Glad I colapsed in bed at 7pm - up at 3 with the eldest, another bag of grapes gone in a day. I knew I should have bought two!

Ooh flip shelly! if i could lose 4 in a week i'd be happy as larry!... i think my major problem is that i sit for most of my current job, whereas, in my last job i was running around constantly, covering up to 5 miles a day on foot without thinking much of it. Now im in a building alot more confined that doesnt require as much physical activity. My last job i can say, that although i was chubby, i was fit - fitter than most of the boys actually :D but i carried 7lbs of sausages in a 5lb bag so to speak.

    That soup sounds yummy shelly!!

shelly, have you tried berocca? its got more than double the vit c that you need but i find it actually perks you up too.
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

Lots of help here already. Re-the smoothies. The reason why every consultant gives a different answer about why they are/arent syn free is because they aren't FILLING- your tummy isn't having to digest a solid, only a liquid, so you aren't as full as long. IT's one of the reasons I slice and dice with a yoghurt instead.
And yes check your hams guys. I was snacking on wafer thin stuff to find it was 3 syns a slice!!!!

Taste the difference Parma ham is 0.5 syns per slice.

Apologies that gave duff info about OSS yesterday, I'd missed it on the HEX list.:o

A large (250ml) glass of wine is about 8.5 syns although it varies depending on sweetness. For dry wine that's what I allow.

Its such a shame that Burgen bread isn't a HE as it's my favourite too. What's everyone's favourite wholemeal as I find it a bit bland in comparison?

One thing I would say about snacking on free food is that I think it's still important to get the proportion of SFs right. So a snack of boiled eggs and fruit is great but just eating eggs or ham is 'diluting' the SFs you have with your meals IYKWIM. I find jars/packs of beetroot very tasty as a snack. Have been known to just attack the jar with a spoon!
