Lush - take a look at the online food diary, go to HES and then it drops down into sections of what you can have then for A's and B's.
As for the Chilli, looking at the syns section for a 400g tin approx weight its between 6.5 and 11 syns.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Thanks for the replies, the more I read, the more I think this could suit me.
Haven't properly started the plan although I have tried to not go too far from it, think I will start properly tomorrow.
One of the concerns I have is that I do eat a lot of bread ( burgen, soya &linseed). It's going to take some getting used to not having this for breakfAst.
Any good tips for filling breakfast would be good as I'm generally starving by about 10.30
Would I be ok snacking on a boiled egg and some fruit mid morning or is this too much? I think I'm right in thinking I wouldn't have to count or record these in any way?
Shellie, thanks for the advice, I am quite a good cook and I do cook most things from scratch, when we go out OH tends to pay as I feed him much of the week
Maman, I am the same with wine as you, I don't drink through the week but like to save it for the weekendI will try to not use syns so I can save them.
I found a good website that was a review of the diet and it seemed to outline the plan in detail so I am hoping that will be enough for me, I am sure I will be able to get an idea about syn values from you guys and elsewhere on the web.
I really need to do this, although I don't have much to lose, it's amazing how much it effects my mood, looking at your signatures makes me think I can do it 👏- prior planning prevents poor performance!

Just worked out that my 'flexi-syn' day is:
6 for chile (top end estimate)
6.5 for my curry
6 for a curly wurly
2 for a hot choc
so 20.5 syns for the dayI'm and feeling really good about the plan now after a couple of 'can't be bothered' weeks - 1stone to target now!!
