Can I ask how everyone decided what their target is? I always said 4 stone which will take me to 9 st 11 1/2lbs. I am now a size 12 and i'm quite happy with that, I don't want to be stick thin but I am still overweight for my height (5'4'') only by a couple of lbs mind.

Not sure what to do really, I have no desire to be a size 10 but I don't want to give up :rotfl:
I thought I had hit target - called it too, but still losing it as I am still in the "over weight" box, I figured I might as well go with the flow. You can always change your mind kjmtidea, so long as there is a 7lb difference to where you are and where you want to be.

Thanks everyone. My consultant has never even mentioned long term targets, although we are on our 3rd consultant in 6 months! I think I will talk to her today and see what she says.
Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j
  • I was told to set one so that it could be recorded on my card, I chose a weight that the Dr had told my mum she was best at and at which I feel I will be happy. It would also me I was bang in the middle of the 'healthy' range for my height :)

Morning all, had a day off yesterday and went in to Sheffield - breakfast in weatherspoons (syns = sausage, hashbrown and oil to fry the egg) with friends then went to rugby training with bf for the first time in ages - was so happy to be there! had some fruit and half my ravioli lunch (1syn) then came home and wasn't hungry at all!

The bfs birthday cake has been around so over the weekend I've had 2.5 slices and I've not been to the gym so praying/begging for a 0.5lb loss this week although a gain would not be totally unexpected.

Finding it harder to get the bigger losses now no matter how much I watch what I eat or how much exercise I do :/ also harder to get much more SF in to myself as I'm just not that hungry.

Giving in my notice later today with tot's mum as I'm so unhappy and I'm hoping that that will change my view on food and snacking back to how it was before. Gives me four weeks left with him and I want to have lost at least another 7lbs in that time!

No idea about today, still not feeling hungry at all so don't even want to think about food :/

    Hello all,

Hope everyone is well? Will catch up on the thread in a bit.

Back in work after a fab weekend in London. Was generally pretty good foodwise other than a chronic overdose of jelly sweets (travelling 2 days and cinema on the other were excuses too good to pass up :rotfl:). Wasn't so great yesterday though, partly because it was a Monday which is when I WI and have a bit of a treat - even though I had taken yesterday as a holiday from SW I still had the treats! :o Still, got another week to make up for it, so straight back on it and going to keep the syns to 10 or under. OH and I are going out on Fri but have decided I'm going to drive so will (a) avoid the syns in drink, (b) not be wanting hangover food, (c) be able to crack on with loads of DIY on Sat that desperately needs doing and (d) being a good MSEr, save £20-30 in bus and taxi fares :)

    So, EE today:
    B: Bran flakes (B), milk (A), banana
L: Bit of pasta & pesto (2), chicken salad, satsuma
T: Chicken stir fry & noodles
    S: Satsuma, cheesecake muller (1), freddo (5)

Have a good day all :)

    Weight loss - Apr '12 -Sept '13: 95lb
  • Managed to make a start on today finally:

Muller greek style yog (0.5) syn and fruit
Lunch will be 1/2 tin of ravioli (0.75syns technically but rounded up to 1 obviously) with more fruit
Tea is going to be cottage pie - cheese from HeA, 2syns in mince and 2 syns gravy

so thats 5.5syns for the day. Got bananas, apples and satsumas that need eating asap so will keep those at hand for snacking

    HeB, probably a Hi Fi
HeA - 3/4 of it in cheese in/on my tea so have some left may just it to have a cuppa but I've been trying to drink tea black recently...hope two good days will still bring me a loss on Wednesday night!

  • Does anyone have any ideas for cheap and easy low-syn snacks I can take to group tomorrow?

I've been snacking horrendously these last couple of days... hopefully i'm doing enough the rest of the time to counteract it all. want to lose 5lb by the end of Nov to get my club 10. Although I was saying that for weeks to get my 1stone award and it took me a while!

Tasting sessions never really work at our group as it's in the morning and nobody's really interested. Easy snack is crudites (or crude bits as a friend likes to call them:)) with a dip. Easiest syn free one I know is yogurt with a bit of mint sauce and sweetener to taste (sort of raita).

Planning a good EE day today:

B: full English (HEB toast, baked beans, egg, mushrooms, bacon) woth HEA milk for teas
L: HM veg soup or a banana if I'm not hungry
    D: spaghetti bolognese
    syns: small juice

    Hi everyone.

    Todays meals are EE-
    b, 2 weetabix, shape 0% yog, banana.
L, hm soup - butternut squash.
T, SW mince cobbler with extra veggies on the side.

Snack wagon wheel wheelie - 4 syns

We dont seem to do tasting sessions in group unless the consultant makes something off then buys the ingredients as a raffle prize for you to make at home. I would have thought the scones on the cobbler would work well in a taster sesh tho as they are coming up as free on minimins.

    Happy Tuesday everyone :j

Have been a bit wayward the last couple of weeks - not really bad but not sticking to plan and it shows. Have been at target for about two months and have now put on 1.5 lbs which I know isn't very much but it is out of my target zone

Back on track this week - today is EE:
B: Mixed fruit salad with FF natural yogurt
L: Pasta with mackerel fillets in tomato sauce and lots of SF veg
D: Chicken casserole in slow cooker with lots of SF veg
    S & D: Banana, pear, satsuma, tea
    HEA - milk for tea
HEB - don't know yet - need to think of something!

Good luck to all with WI today :)
