  • Made a SW lasagne last night and my whole family enjoyed it. That's something we can have much more often. Full of super free tomatoes onions and mushrooms but I also had a side of salad.

I've put 2 portions in the freezer for lunches this week. I'm finding the food I'm using on SW is getting quite expensive. My DP and I have got through 20 muller lights this week!!

It can be expensive but I suppose that could be true of any meal plan. The answer is to find cheaper alternatives. Personally I'm not a huge yogurt fan but if you can't get Mullers on special offer anywhere you could always buy a big tub of fat free plain yogurt and stir in some fruit.

I'm back on the wagon today:

B: baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: bubble&squeak type dish made from LO casserole and veggies
D: beef stir fry with Golden rice
syns: small juice, minimal gravy in casserole

Hi all, having a mare of a day as the daughter has been getting harrased at work by one of the managers and feared she would lose her job if she spoke out so intervened to get it sorted.

Having a green day today because im being lazy :rotfl:

B, huge bowl of melon pineapple and banana
L, 5 ryvita cracker breads, kerry low low and an apple.
T, egg, chips and beans, bread and smear of butter (2 syns)

    HEA milk in coffee.

Probably a little low in SF's but feel they were coming out of my ears yesterday.

Hope everyone is having a great day and glad to hear so many are jumping back on the band wagon as it seems to have gone quiet in here the last week or so.

  • Hi gang, how are we all doing. Sorry I haven't been around much, uni work plus the littlest having recurring chest infections (including a hospital stay) has made the last month a nightmare. I'm going to try and catch up on everyones posts now that things may have calmed down. I've also decided to drop my target weight, mostly because despite eating everything I can, I am (acording to my wii) 1/2 stone lighter than when I weighed in two weeks ago:eek:
I'm at uni tonight - late finish with only 2 hours sleep behind me. Not looking forward to it. :(

Have you deceided how much you want to loose in total then Pennylane?

Originally I said I'd be thrilled to lose a stone. Eventually I did that and then decided I'd like to lose 2 stones, so I think that's where I set my target.

Even though it's coming off very slowly I have days when I feel much slimmer. All my leggings are hanging off me, jeans are the same. Bras down a size. Pants down a size. Watch strap is about 1" loose now and dangles down on my hand.

Hubby was going through old pics on the computer last night and called me in to look at holiday pics of me from 2009 and 2010/11. It is very noticeable that I was much larger then.

With just me and an 18 month old at home in the day time, I would usually have cheapish cereal or toast for breakfast, then crumpets or sandwiches usually with cheese, or crackers for lunch. Although our dinners haven't changed all that much.

My OH eats a lot though. I limit myself to one yog a day but he eats 2 most days, if not 3

Can I ask how everyone decided what their target is? I always said 4 stone which will take me to 9 st 11 1/2lbs. I am now a size 12 and i'm quite happy with that, I don't want to be stick thin but I am still overweight for my height (5'4'') only by a couple of lbs mind.

Not sure what to do really, I have no desire to be a size 10 but I don't want to give up :rotfl:
Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j

I haven't decided yet... I want to get to 11st as it sounds like a far better number, and see how I feel when I get there. It'll mean having lost nearly 3 stone

I know that feeling! If you've got the time have an egg or baked beans at breakfast and try some HM soup at lunchtime. I find those cheap enough.

Our consultant asked me at my first visit for a target so I just gave a weight I dimly remembered being happy with 10 years previously. That was the top end of my adult weight in the winter time as I've always fluctuated by about half a stone winter and summer. Since getting to target I've always hovered at the very bottom of my target range. I think I could easily drop 7lbs which would be roughly what seems 'natural' for me but I'm older now and don't want to look scrawny so I'm sticking with my target. Do other consultants explain that you don't have to set a target if you don't want to?
