Hi all, i'd like to get back to slimming world, do any of you know if there will be any joining vouchers in magazines again soon please? Thanks
I haven't heard of any but will keep my eyes open. If you're rejoining why not make a start with your old books and this thread for support until a voucher comes along?
DH is now well and truly sorry he made that comment but I think he may be right! I've put a skirt on this morning (not worn since last winter) and it does feel a bit tight.:( I'm having a very social time at the moment so eating out a lot. I've checked my diary and from Sunday I'll have almost a complete week where I'll be in complete control of my food so any problems can be sorted out with next week's meal plan. I will, I WILL!!!0 -

I stupidly jumped on the scales at the gym last week (only went for a swim as I was hungover, nothing too strenuous!) and thought I'd lost 2.5 pounds.... went to WI that night and it was only 0.5! You may well have lost something, but your scales aren't the same as SW.
When I weighed in my first week, the scales were very different to mine so when I went home I weighed myself on my scales to see what the difference was. So I thought the same sort of format would apply! I have been saying for a week that I must throw the scales away or at least put them in the garage/loft!0 -
Blodwen, how do you make rice pudding? I love rice pud!0

Little update - I stayed the same at WI last night! I'm not too gutted as I've been ill all last week so only did one hour of exercise!
I've still lost 16.5lbs so I'm keen to get the 20! :j0 -

That's fair enough - I have to admit I weigh myself at home on the morning of WI and compare it to the week before's home result. I know I shouldn't but I like to have an idea of how I've done for official WI, and don't do it at any other time- still a bit naughty of me though!thehappybutterfly wrote: »Blodwen, how do you make rice pudding? I just simmered some pudding rice with water, a bit of milk and a bit of sweetener until it was cooked then this morning heated it up and added the banana and yogurt. I know people had tried various yogurts/fruits, probably back in the last SW thread, but I only have the cheesecake ones in at the moment. Debating whether to try lemon cheesecake tomorrow but would have to use a satsuma or something instead of banana. It's good for avoiding using both HEs first thing by having cereal
(btw I love your signature - the lose/loose thing drives me mental too!)

WI tonight and lost 1.5 lbs. I deserved that if I say so myself as I stick to plan pretty much all the time. It's just that I have weeks when the scales don't move.

Well done Pennylane and Psycho, well deserved losses
Just having a variation on the rice pudding idea-warmed up cooked rice, a chopped banana and some Quark mixed with a sachet of Options (made up the whole tub with one sachet and am saving half of mixture for afternoon snack) - it's very nice, much prefer it to yesterday's concoction.
Also made a huge paella last night - made 8 good portions so I have frozen 5. Realised I only had 100g paella rice so had to make it up with risotto rice, but didn't have quite enough of that either so there's a bit of pudding rice in there too- didn't seem to do it any harm though! :rotfl:
EE today:
B: Rice pudding, Quark, Options (2), banana, milk (A)
L: Paella (1.5), 2 satsumas
T: Not sure yet, possibly bacon, egg and new potatoes with broccoli and carrots, pitta bread (B), brown sauce (1)
S: Rocky (5.5)
Am off for long weekend after today so 'see' you all on tues :wave:2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]
