Thank you all for the kind words.:A
:hello:louise
Don't know much about muscle strengthening mamma but I'd have thought basic stuff like weight training for arms or lunges and squats for legs. If you use the gym there are machines that help with those sort of thing. Hopefully, other, more athletic peeps will be around soon.
Lush, it is getting more difficult (and ever more expensive) to get extra lean mince. You're right to add in the syns but you can minimise them by draining off as much fat as possible. If you brown the mince then pour it nto a sieve to let the fat drain away then pat it with kitchen roll to get as much off as possible that will help. Anther thing you could do is batchcook a double portion using 2 lots of mince, the jar and a box of passata/tin of tomatoes with a bit of extra garlic and herbs (or whatever flavour you buy). That way the syns in the sauce are even more diluted. Personally I throw in loads of peppers, mushrooms, onions and diced carrot but maybe bf wouldn't like that.
I've had a fairly SW day so far: breakfast was beans and toast with just a small juice, lunch we had a slice of ham and a big plate of bubble & squeak (using up LOs;)). Tonight I'm off for a carvery. Previously I'd have declined the yorkies, had just one roastie and filled up on veg with sparing gravy now I can relax a bit more. Carvery isn't a bad meal for SW, as you can really fill up on the SFs.0 -
I have chicken and bacon out of the freezer... any ideas for an easy meal? I have potatoes in, but don't mind going to the shop as I need a few bits anyway. Not inspired right now!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Maman I used to think like that all the time can't believe I hadn't though of bulking it out a bit separately to the bfs! New plan: Cook spag bol as usual draining of extra fat etc, add all of the sauce and heat through whilst that's heating/pasta cooking I'll microwave some veggies...serve bfs as usual then add the veggies, serve myself half with my pasta and freeze half for when he's away! Ahh you just made me feel a billion times happier about the higher syn mince AND getting free/superfree in! Wahay!************************************

Sainsbury's do the E.L mince on 3 for £10 if anyone has one near them. Also M&S sell it for £4.?? which works out roughly the same price as Asda. I have spotted the mince in the local spar/petrol station which was around £2.50 for the 250g packets. Just some more options for those having difficulty spotting it.
Todays meals are,
b, apple, banana.
L, greek lamb, jacket pot, carrots and peas. Meringue nest, squirty cream and fruit.
T mushy pea chicken curry, with extra onions and mushrooms, rice. Pineappple and melon.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Evening all. Hope you don't mind me joining in your chat. I joined SW 3 weeks ago. My class meets on a Friday morning. I have a huge amount to loose but am looking at it as a year long project - at least! I am breaking it up with mini targets with my club 10 due in February which coincides with a holiday with the family to Fuertaventura.0
