Hi everyone, just popping in with a quick update. Afetr hitting a plateau for 6 weeks and the scales not budging, I lost 2lb last week and.... wait for it.... 5lb this week :j I was so shocked but obviously delighted. The only thing I have done is try to mix my diet up a bit - I'm eating pears & pomegranates instead of bananas & melon and I have drastically cut doen on the amount of pasta I've eaten - opting for a baked tattie instead. I have only had 1 pasta n sauce all week and no other pasta dishes.
I am so hyper I feel like running about like an idiot. That's the 4st certificate safely up on the wall and half way to the 4.5st cert!
Hope everyone's doing ok. xxMortgage Aug 22 £280,000

I've had an awful weekend
I have eaten my body weight in crisps, had apple crumble with custard and a biiiig bar of Cadbury's caramel yesterday
Back on track todayI made super speed soup for lunch, first time I've tried it and it was really nice....even hubby liked it
I used my biggest pot and by the time I started adding tomatoes & stock, I knew there was no way it was all going to fit. I had to use my pressure cooker instead, I used it as an ordinary saucepan but I think this soup would be good done in the pressure cooker too.
I had really bad stomach flu last week and lost 6.5lb....I wouldn't recommend the dickie tummy plan for weightloss though :rotfl::rotfl:
I'm totally expecting a gain this week as last week wasn't a genuine weight loss, just the result of sickness. Plus all the junk I've eaten, but We'll see on Wednesday.
Dinner tonight is roast beef with roast veg and potatoes and gravy0 -
Great loss kandfs mum :j :j
Very cold here.
Made the soup with the tomatoes beans and carrots earlier.
Was pleasantly surprised
I find it much more difficult in the cold weather to stick to plan as want to eat stodge.

That's brilliant!!:T:T:T It's good to hear introducing variety working for you, our consultant often recommends it.
lush, I found that when I got to target I'd lost the habit of eating the banned (by me) foods. I gave up cheese except for an occasional cheeseboard out with a flexi meal. All I've done now is to keep some grated, frozen cheese for making sauces. I do have the occasional teacake but just now and then. I find the best thing is to eat/shop for SW at home and have treats mostly when out so that they're controlled.
Out tonight having a pub meal. Before target I'd have stuck to steak, jacket and salad but tonight I can have whatever I fancy. In fact, I'm going to have a bad week in terms of eating out but all my other meals at home will be totally SW friendly so should be OK.
I hope nobody minds me posting about what it's like after getting to target. It helps me to keep in touch but also I want you all to know it really is worth it and it's not like being on a permanent diet.
I miss medmum's post but I remember her saying that she just couldn't get SW to work for her so she was going to try something else. :wave:if you ever lurk.:A0 -
maman~have a nice meal tonight
I too am at target & still post.
I hover at the top end of the 3 lb leeway though.
I help at the shop as it makes me go to class & I need that dicipline.

Beanielou, i were offered the S.A.S logs a couple of weeks ago by our stand in consultant, had not heard of them before as normal consultant seems to think talking therapies and usual food diaries are enough. These logs make you assess everything you eat and whether or not you know the exact syn values or are guestimating. Whether you know the difference between free/sf foods etc. You do have to fill these in as you eat rather than sitting baclk at the end of day trying to remember every morsel you have eaten and its one log per day.
Kandfs thats a brilliant result well done.
Maman - target members contributions on here are always welcome, as many have pointed out on here theres no real help once you get to target so being able to chat to those who are in the same situation is more beneficial i would imagine than going to group where target members weigh and run and no longer contribute to the group.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Otherwise we all end up in a catch 22 situation where it becomes a constant battle.
If im honest while i have eaten off plan for some of the days while family have been staying i have not enjoyed eating any of it and i have been having a mental battle on how many syns were in it, how can i change what i have at next meal plan to atleast be on plan 50%. I prefer my meal plans and to know exactly what im having each day and know what i can have as a treat. I know this doesn't work for everyone or isnt all ways practical but i know its working.
I don't even think about eating any other way now. Anybody who comes and eats at mine eats what I cook (SW) and nobody complains. We had SW chips and eggs and mushy peas for tea tonight followed by a Muller Yoghourt, a meringue and dollop of low fat Creme Fraiche (synned). That is such a quick and easy tea and so "normal" it doesn't feel like I'm being deprived of anything.
My DH and I both stopped eating bread (although I know we can have it and count it on SW) when we started in May. I have eaten bread just once since then (when we were out and a sandwich lunch was provided or nothing) and I have completely lost the taste for it. The health benefits far outweigh eating it.
We are allround healthier eaters and no longer get bloated tummy, burping, indigestion etc.0 -
beanielou and maman I love that you're at target and still post, it's my biggest encouragement! I hope you stick around************************************
