  • Done a naughty thing and weighed myself in the chemists :/

Showing a maintain but I was desperate for the loo and wearing jeans, t-shirt and hoodie which I would never wear for weigh in at group! So hoping that I will have a loss this week

Having to go to a WI with my consultant tomorrow rather than Wednesday because of the tot - or more accurately the tot's mother (grrrrrr) just need 1.5lb to get my 2.5st award!

Going to up my fluid intake and see what difference I can make by the morning!

Hi Guys, still loosely following SW whilst pregnant. Can I just check how many syns are in Hellman's Mayo - I can only find light or extra light online. I'm estimating around 3 syns for 10g (definitely not worth it but too late now!).

Hope to join you all properly in the new year :)

As it looks thats your 2 days allowance over 2 days. So just because you have gone over today the lower end of your syns yesterday should counterbalance this. You could always lower your syns for the next few days if it is bothering you - aiming around 5 a day so you can still use little bits in meals or have a small treat.

My weekend went to pot slightly by family sabotage. Whilst home cooked meals were all SW i had no control over BIL buying cream cakes from the fresh produce centre at a local garden centre and taking not taking no for an answer when i said i would have been happy without one. So syns are being limited here to reduce any damage. I know one cake wont have done uch but want the security blanket as i know one of the meals we had out was laden full of syns as nothing was cooked healthily.

So been back on plan 100% today.
    B, mullerlight, banana.
    L, 6 ryvita wholegrain cracker breads, 3 e.l laughing cow (3) 2 apples,
T, salmon, pots, green beans, carrots, cabbage, peas. Pineapple and melon.

Sorry to see some of you are still struggling. For those who go to group do you know why things are now at a difficult time and have you been offered the S.A.S logs?

  • I'm finding stuff hard as now I know I want to give in my notice as this tot's nanny I am getting bored very quickly most days so find myself craving sweet bits all the time and I'm failing to convince myself that apples cut it. Just 20lbs to go to target and now I'm feeling that as soon as I get there I want to reintroduce chocolate bars and currant teacakes and pizza and ice cream! not all at once but maybe one a week or so :/

Lush i know what you are saying but from what i have learnt from going to group SW has to be a rest of life commitment not just a quick fix to get to a desired weight and then loosen off the reins. Otherwise we all end up in a catch 22 situation where it becomes a constant battle.

If im honest while i have eaten off plan for some of the days while family have been staying i have not enjoyed eating any of it and i have been having a mental battle on how many syns were in it, how can i change what i have at next meal plan to atleast be on plan 50%. I prefer my meal plans and to know exactly what im having each day and know what i can have as a treat. I know this doesn't work for everyone or isnt all ways practical but i know its working.

  • It's quite hard to consciously remember though that SW is a way of life until it becomes second nature. With all the marketing and advertising of things like alcohol, crisps and chocolate as 'good' things and things we should eat, it takes time to make those changes permanent.

I'm the same, my dress fits me that I wanted to get into. But I need to remember that it doesn't stop here, I need to continue to lose some more weight. But as soon as I lose some weight or get close to target, I think I can relax. My friends MIL bought her a cream cake to treat her as she had been so good on her diet... How on earth does that help? My boyfriend doesn't really understand SW concept so buys 'low fat' frozen chips and thinks he is helping me.

While I am off plan, I do think about how I could get back on track... but sometimes the lure of the dairy milk tray chocolates (that a friend bought me on Saturday) is just too much to resist :(

Yes, these could all just be excuses and if I want to lose weight then I'll be 100% on plan all the time. It's just not always easy.

  • SW is pretty much ingrained in my brain now, a day or a few days off plan and I feel a bit rotten and I know when I'm going out what the good choices to make are but I want to feel able to remind myself that a treat is ok as long as it's just that...a treat! Not an everyday thing but something once in a while is bad/banned!
