  • Hi all, good days all round I hope!

Stef Scan Bran has a bad rep in my group too, I've tried it in the chocolate cake but never as it's real self if that makes sense :S I would give it a go but we always have tons of ryvita in so if I fancy something like that I have those instead

Adding an extra level to my fitness plan again today by deciding to incorporate 5 commercial break workouts that I've written for myself - each takes between 3 and 5 minutes and today they have really pushed me, especially my core and arms. Probably because I'm still feeling all the crunches I did at the gym on Saturday too!

Breakfast was a 60g wholemeal roll (HeB) with 2eggs scrambled and baked beans. Snack in a few mins will be a couple of apples sliced up.
Lunch will be pasta snack pot (1.5syns) and a satsuma.
Cooking bacon wrapped in chicken with veggies, jacket potato and beans for tea - so tasty and great for the boy too as I can have it ready when he gets in from training. Hoping to stay low on syns today so as well as the pasta pot I may treat myself to a mini pack of malteasers (5syns).

Weigh in is Wednesday night, back to my usual 5.30 group - excited cos I've been missing them! Activity today will have been 25mins of ad break workouts, 1hr walking and 30mins slendertone.

Determined to shift this last 1st8lbs over the next 11 weeks - don't want to pay anymore once my countdown has finished! Target here I come!

Just thought I'd check in! Off to WI tomorrow night and I hope hope hope I have done a stone! I had lost 11lbs two weeks ago, had to miss weigh in last week so hopefully I've done 3lbs in these two weeks.

I've been doing loads of exercise - 3hrs 40mins last week and 5hours this week! And have stuck to my syns - I went over slightly a few days but lowered what I had other days to make up.

Do you think if I spend all of today and tomorrow before weigh in on my knees going: "PleasePleasePleasePleasePleasePleasePlease" that it'll burn some extra weight off? :p

Well done to all the losers out there! :D

Good morning all. Welcome to the newbies and congratulations on all the amazing losses.

Can i just ask how many of you actually use scan bran? It gets bad rep at my group as no one will either try it/say they have and hate it or absolutely love it. I only ask as one girl in our group had a stone to lose in a month to do a charity skydive to be in with the permitted weight range. She lived on scan bran during that time having the permitted 5 a day and doing the green plan. She regularly recorded 5lb weekly losses. So am now looking at this route myself to see if it shifts my sluggish 1lba week losses into the fast lane.

Mixed views in my group: most don't bother with it because it's said to be like chewing on cardboard. Others make cake with it, crumble into soup like croutons or eat as crackers with LoLo cheese. Might e a good idea to boost weightloss (bit like having dynorod soup).

I'm following the plan a bit loosely this week. Today have had porage, chicken sandwich (Burgen bread) and a big syn free stir fry planned for dinner. WI Thursday and I'll check then where I am in target range before doing next week's meal plan.

Never had it but it has the reputation of being cardboard-like in both taste and texture at our group too. Maybe as a replacement for bread it might just provide that bit of a shake up but I think if I did that I'd stick to ryvita!

I started with with 2 scan bran with hm butternut squash and lentil soup yesterday and lets just say it eased things for me:o

    Today have had -
B, tin toms, 2 scan bran, 2 BGTY sausages, Banana. Apple.
L, 2 scan bran, LO HM butternut squash and lentil soup, 3 HM falafels.
    T. HM beef stew - loads of SF's. 1 scan bran. 1/8th HM trifle (3syns ish because recipe accounted for sherry and vermiccilli and i had neither so omited those)
Remaining syns not sure yet will see how the day pans out.

Good luck to those hitting the scales today.

I love blending scan bran until it is powder and then mixing with nutella or chocolate philadelphia, it's a lovely treat.

Feeling a bit pants today so haven't really eaten properly, cheese on toast, 2 apples and a pear. I am just about to have some of that chickpea dahl, rice and egg thing. I'm torn between going out for a nice long dog walk this evening or having an early night, weigh in tomorrow morning though!

Stef240377 What recipe do you use for falafels?

Kjmtidea - i posted the recipe on here last week and it is off the SW website, the one i used today was for the cumin scented falafels. They are ok but certainly not in the same league as the Cauldron one, there only saving grace is that they are syn free. If you dont have access to website i will repost the recipe if you prefer.
