Lush - get some scan bran in you that will be more effective than tablets and a quicker result :rotfl:

Pennylane - the week before starting a group my son made the ferrero rocher from a recipe on the slimming eats website and all though i didnt try them he managed to scoff the lot over the week. Said they were ok if not a little dry. You can add more golden syrup than recipe states but would have to adjust syns slightly to cater for this.

    Aggghhhrrrr!

Normally sit in the kitchen with my work mates at lunch but have had to bring my soup back to my desk as one lad has got a massive Subway which, while it looks nice, I can resist, but the other one had been to the chippy and had got sausage, chips and a bread roll - omg, the smell of the chips! They know I'm on a diet so I explained why I had to go (I am starving and not particularly fancying soup but no choice) and they were fine with it, although the lad with chips offered me one as a joke so I made a rather vulgar gesture in return :o :rotfl:

they do this at my work too! theres a core group that eat out every day and its fish and chips, Chinese, full curries with starters and the works, pasties, massive baguettes. our kitchen is tiny too and the chippy stinks the whole office out. i just don't understand how they can eat that way and be ok. if i ate all that every day i'd be feeling awful and bloated, never mind putting on weight!

Someone, somewhere mentioned making a sort of Ferrero Rocher from Scanbran (which I don't usually buy) but I will make an exception if people think they're worth it.

    Anybody made them?
    Are they nice?
    How many syns?

i've had the ones made with ryvita. they are passable. think they were 1/2 syn per bite. not had them for quite a while though!
  • Morning all, this thread is much quieter of late!

It's Wednesday which means WI day for me so obviously my mental anguish has reared it's ugly head. Really want to have lost a minimum of 2lb or 3.5lb (to get to 2.5st award) but I'd be happy with any loss as always. With all my added activity down at the gym over the last 8 days I will be so gutted if I maintain again or worse (for me) gain :/

Will keep it light with fruit for brekkie then homemade soup for lunch and no snacks until after group when it will be spag bol for tea.

My thighs have been aching all of yesterday which I put down to a delayed muscle response to my workout on Saturday as I'm doing a lot of leg work at the gym currently and my ad break workouts on Monday as there was a lot of mountain climbers and squats/lunges etc, instead of swimming I went to the gym again yesterday and that appears to have eased it slightly - must persevere!

    morning
i weigh in tomorrow but as always have had a cheeky jump on the scales this morning. i think i will have lost 2.5 pounds. yay. was very pleased with the scales this morning.
i had a wonderful lunch yesterday.. saw it in a slimming world mag.. egg and chips.
usual sw chips and put tomatoes and mushrooms in the oven tray then added 2 eggs and put them back in the oven. loads of satisfying food and all free on ee.couldnt beleive it. i felt so full and it was such a change from salad/soup. i put some salad leaves on the side just so i had a third of superfree.
ive bought two magazines from ebay from previous months. i really need more magazines to look though. obviously ive only just started and only have the last two. they are packed with ideas.i cant put the magazines down i love looking at them and they keep me on track. i think i feel like this because i do it online and dont have the interaction of the meetings as i dont have time. i love this thread too.
today i have just had a big fruit salad and a cup of tea and soon i will have my breakfast of porrridge. then it will be salad for lunch with some ham and coleslaw.
tea is sausages - good quality chipolatas and i will have two for 5 syns. then large jacket potatoe and veg and mushrooms
feeling positive today. had a few bad days last week but feeling better now. thanks to all the help on here.

Personally i found they had completely the opposite effect :o - think i'll stick to ryvita... was not the most pleasant experience ive ever had! sorry if TMI

i took the weekend off plan deliberately as we were having a party and i didnt want to restrict myself too much and end up not enjoying it. straight back on plan though :D the countdown to holiday has begun and i WILL be at target or just under for it. hopefully all the walking i will be doing will counteract any food, if not actually give me a loss *not that im being over-optimistic or anything:rotfl:*

how is everyone? anything exciting for halloween?
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
  • I think its just one of those things with me, have never been 'regular' but with following SW it had been much better - maybe my insides are writing their own rules! Generally I feel fine if a little bloated but my head says I should be going more regularly.

Going to see how WI goes tonight and then decide if I need to do anything about it!

Tonight is the trick or treat quiz at group and it's also our consultants 11th year anniversary as a SW consultant :) Think I will take her a card as whilst she has her moments she really is lovely.

  • Hello everyone! I did it! I got my stone! Woo hoo!:T

I lost 5.5lbs last night (thats two weeks worth as missed WI last week) so I got my stone and more - 16lbs lost!

I'm so chuffed. I did try my very best and exercised loads. Next target is 20lbs and if I reach that it willofficially be the most I've ever lost ever, even more than I lost for my wedding, and if I manage that I might have a little happy cry :D x

I have also been buying back issues of the magazines on eBay and, like you, I find them a real inspiration. The meal plans and recipes are so useful and they keep me focused on the plan. I have been at target for a couple of months now but I do find that as soon as I stray off the plan too much (weekends are my downfall!) the llbs soon start to creep back on again

Good luck with the WI lush, you really deserve a loss after all that Body Magic - I feel worn out just reading about it :j

Have a great Halloween everyone and best of luck to all with WI today.

Well done Rosie - what a great loss
  • Congrats Rosie1978

Gosh I hope so sukeyboo! Determined to get to target in the next 11 weeks - 22lbs to go - I do not want to pay after my countdown expires! So minimum/average of 2lb a week needed :)
