  • Hi all,

So yesterday started well...but lunch ended with an ice cream and then half a slice of birthday cake :/ I just can not say no to the boys mum or grandparents!

Got the induction session at the gym today at 2pm though so hoping that negates some of the naughtiness! Going to give 110% all through it and we will probably stay for a while afterwards and do some extra work :)

Today I've had shreddies and milk (HeB and 1/2 HeA), WW yogurt - did not know these were free but Dad got me some to replace some shape ones I had left here which mum ate and it was lush! and a satsuma

Lunch will be a banana, satsuma and either some noodles or maybe a jacket and beans (something filling but not too heavy before the gym)

Tea will be cottage pie - homemade so its 2.5syns for the mince (no extra lean left) 1 syn for the gravy and 1.5 for the laughing cow light mixed in to the Smash for the top. We always have an individual one of these each - big serving for him, moderate sized for me, packed with veggies then I have extra veggies on the side of mine.

so thats 5 syns, will use some more of my milk in an options hot choc (2syns) and tea (free) and then that should be plenty to see me through until bed :)

Anybody know of any low syn sweet treats? Really craving sweet stuff recently!

Definitely back on it 100% now until WI on wed!

  • WI and ive lost 1.5 pounds! means ive sailed past my 1 and a 1/2 stone award! :j:beer:
Looking back over some of the posts commenting on weight gain after WW, can some of the 'losers' ;) on here tell us how they've got on post-target? Have you managed to keep the weight off?

well i put on over 3 stone BUT that was purely because i started eating junk again and is entirely my own fault. i placed too heavy a reliance on convenience food and takeaway and convinced myself cz i was running none of it mattered. it also crept on very gradually with just "oh once a week wont hurt" morphing into nearly every day:( i also stopped doing a weekly weigh in so i only really twigged there was a problem when i had a noticeable amount on. i must have put on quite a bit before i even twigged it was going in the wrong direction and by then it was just ingrained as my new way of life so i carried on.

I am afraid I am having a day completely off plan today. I knew I would be a bit relaxed as I had plans to meet a friend / lunch out etc. Not ideal in my first week back on the SW bus but hey ho.

Anyhow the train I was traveling on was involved in a very sad incident :( and to be honest counting syns/worrying about what I was going to have for lunch suddenly became so unimportant.

I will be back on plan tomorrow though.

  • Morning all, today should be a lovely day. The boy and I have got up leisurely and now that I've done the washing up we just have to get dressed by 11.00 as we've been invited to my parents for Sunday dinner :)

We just need to leave a little early to pick up an apple pie and cream and perhaps some flowers for my mum.

    Today is looking like:
B: banana, satsuma and free yogurt
L: Sunday dinner with tons of veggies followed by a sliver of apple pie (using my syns for this one =) )
T: erm...possible the chicken and rice we have left in the fridge or noodles if I'm hungry, if not then I will be snacking on fruit most likely or cereal

    HeA: 250ml semi skimmed
HeB: possibly cereal for supper or I'll have to work something out

Going to eat very light foods today. Very light!;)

Went to a neighbours for a lovely meal last night and both hubby and I had a poor nights sleep because we ate much richer food than we have for the past 5 months.

We didn't pig out at all - the starter was melon, the main course and dessert we had just average portions (no second helpings like some did) and then we had cheese and biscuits. And again only a couple but we both felt stuffed and we haven't had either for months so I guess our stomachs have adjusted.

    Morning all

Hoping to be back on track today although already had my day's syns in a cereal bar and just munched an orange club (still need to find out the syn values!)

I was hoping to get some ideas..... There are a couple of my SW friends for whom I buy birthday and xmas gifts. I'm struggling to think of what to buy this year for xmas as I want it to be cheap and cheerful but still a nice gift. Ideally I would like it to have a sw theme to it be it a gadget for the kitchen that will come in handy or a mini SW hamper - i.e pot of options hot choc etc.

    Would welcome any ideas!

FE there are 6 syns across the board for your orange club.

With your xmas theme have you seen the Jamie Oliver spice tins in Boots? These are on 342 so would work out at £8 each and fit in with your SW gifting ideas - no temptation for choccies or biscuits and i think by now we all appreciate how many herbs and spices we get through.
