Good to hear you sounding so upbeat lush, your little holiday has obviousy done you good.

I've just put a SC full of lentil soup on to cook, plenty of carrots, onions and celery in there too (just thought may go and add a handful of leeks) so I'll have plenty for lunches coming up.

    Today's EE plan:
B: HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA milk, banana plus teas
L: not sure, but may fry up some LO veggies and make a bit of a stir fry.
D: home cooked ham, broccoli and cauli cheese, hassleback potatoes
Syns: small juice, cheeses sauce and weekend wine!:j That's quite a few but I do tend to eat fairly syn free most of the week.

Off to a wedding tomorrow (second weekend running) so will have a few flexi meals but come Sunday I'll be back on the wagon!

I've just had to make a big fat chocolately cake for my friends son  I somehow managed to resist licking the bowl/spoon/ my shoe where I dropped icing :rotfl:.

Had my root canal finished this morning which took an hour, major jaw ache there! Not in any pain though which is fab so hopefully I can eat as normal.

    B - Shreddies and milk (a & b) banana.
    L - Too numb:rotfl:
D - We are trying a new slimming world recipe from the latest mag but can't remember what one.

Well that was a pointless food diary! Have a good day everyone!

I have come to the conclusion that people dont know how to cook anymore - and it is a dying art. I love to potter in the kitchen and so does my hubby - so i am probably very lucky.

In our house - you either eat what I cook or you go hungry I dont have the money to waste food. I still have some rubbish in the house for "the others":D, but I very rarely touch it.

Yes my shopping bill has gone up slightly but my takeaway bill bill has come down - swings and round abouts.

A friend from work who also goes to slimming world said last night at WI, I was her inspiration to carry on - as every time she walks past my office Im getting slimmer and smilier - I was so embarressed :obut just a tiny bit chuffed.

On my phone and on my fridge I have a picture of an Olympian and a Paraolympian and I have written the words above them "This is the year I was inspired". I will not allow my life to be ruled by fat and laziness anymore. I have lost 1st 9lb in 11 weeks - and I feel so much better, last night hubby said my spark had returned.

Hang in there everyone - we can do this - find someone to inspire you!. :)

That's true - we stopped eating bread and I used to buy about 6 large loaves each week. The ones I bought were about £1.30 a loaf so that's a big saving. Likewise butter/marg - we rarely have that now since we're not eating bread. As an experiment I dated the last tub and it lasted a month. I use it only in cooking and when hungry son comes home. I also used to buy those thick & creamy yoghourts and they're not cheap either.

Hi all. I have been stomping around too today because i STS yesterday at weigh in despite a polished halo week - no day over 10 syns so cant understand whats going on. Hubby said he was taking me out for some retail therapy so breakfast was bowl of mixed berries, a shape vanilla yogurt, banana and an apple. Also went to harvester for lunch my head looked through the menu thinking sod it im having whatever i want but the dear old heart spoke first and said salmon, green beans and a good ole jacket spud. Thought i would win hands down when pudding was ordered but no those pesky fruit skewers won but the miniscule pot of ice cream was nice - by now im internally laughing but there must be part of me that knows no self sabotage is worth it.
Now just eaten tea of roast chicken, 1.5 potatoes, peas, sprouts and more green beans. Hea milk for coffees.
Estimating that today would be syns used on half a ladle of low cal dressing 1, oil on grilled salmon ?(heb?) and the pot of ice cream 4? Does that sound right?

  • Looking back over some of the posts commenting on weight gain after WW, can some of the 'losers' ;) on here tell us how they've got on post-target? Have you managed to keep the weight off?

I find it very hard TBH but at the moment I am stressed about things I have no control over and I have always been a stress eater.I help with the shop as it makes me go to class & I try hard to keep things in check. If I dident go to class I would be putting it all back on at a very fast rate of knots.
I do SW & not WW though.

Managed to keep the weight off for about 18 months then gave up smoking! Weight started going back on for about 6 months and now starting to come off again. Problem seemed to be that when I gave up smoking my appetite increased - I was still more or less sticking to plan but probably eating more "free" food than before which although free if you constantly pick at it increases the number of calories (I now we don't count calories but if you've not used to eating that amount of food your body somehow doesn't work in the the same way, iykwim).
