When my daughter wanted to quit she just texted the consultant telling her that for her SW was impossible because she couldnt eat balanced meals on the plan - she hates carrots, mushrooms and oinons amongst other things and the consultant was pretty good about it. However, i have seen people miss a few weeks group and been told they can either settle the balance for those weeks or start a fresh because it was cheaper. Given that info i dont think they chase the money. But, i have heard the consultant saying she has had to pay to cover xxx weeks because they havent turned up and is at a loss.

For your cheese and broccoli bake there is a SW variation of it here in this link if you want to be 'good' but still have stodge - 4 syns on all plans. Or add chicken to it and still be in line with EE.

cheers stef! ill let her know... she hasnt been for the last two weeks so far, as far as im aware. shes lost over 2 stone but has lost interest in it... though i think we all get that way at some stage - its just what you do with that thought that matters.

oohh! cheers for the recipe.... overall, the recipe that i know (and am painfully trying to resist) is around 10 syns... that makes a large lasagne sized dish (maybe 14x12 inches??)... its one of my favourite dishes as its very simple to make... literally cook the chicken and broccoli, and then its just bung it in the oven to crispen the top and heat it thoroughly..

hmmm maybe ill make pizza chicken since i havent had my A or B yet today, or i might make an attempt at that lovely looking recipe you found. if that all fails, i might just have gammon and veg and some champ lol!
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
  • Afternoon all

I had my 2nd weigh in on Sat and lost 3.5lbs and i got SOTW. So that is 9lbs in 2 weeks. So happy.

This week has been horrendous. I am really struggling this week. Not sure if it's because of * week or what. I just don't want to ruin what i have already lost, but i am just craving chocolate all the time.

    Off to catch up.....

There are some fab losses on here at the moment :j We really should do a weekly add up of how much everyone has lost!

Finally got the letter and my son has passed :j. It was out of 140 and the pass mark was 110, he got 118.75, I now have to wait until March to see if he actually got in, it's going to be a long wait but fingers crossed.

Can't decide what to have for dinner today, boyfriend and the kids are having tofu but I can't stand the stuff!

Hi all got my 1st 1/2 stone award today
Can I ask,if I do nothing different week to week how will I continue to lose, surely you end up just staying the same?

I know SW isn't a calorie counting plan but if you think of it that way: if you reduce calories, you're having fewer than your body needs to maintain weight so you lose. To maintain you'd need to up the calories. Similarly with SW the menus we follow are optimised so that we lose weight. If you follow the same plan next week you'd lose again. To maintain you'd need to add in some extras. That's very simplistic but it makes sense to me!:rotfl:
    Hi everyone,

I did SW for a few months at the beginning of the year and i know it works and believe it is the healthiest way of eating. My problem is the cost! So i have no plans to rejoin but after reading all your comments i'm feeling inspired to give it a go on my own!

I was just wanting to know how you all manage it without it getting too expensive? Can you give me any good example menus?

    Thanks x

Hopefully, you've still got your books and you've found this thread so you should be fine claire. It's hard you know what to advise without knowing what sort of foods you like or whether you're cooking for you or a family. Many 'normal' recipes can be adapted to SW and there are loads if you follow the link on post 1 of the thread. I'd say that Green is probably the cheapest option as you don't have to buy loads of veg, you can syn small amouts of meat and pasta is cheapish and filling. This time of the year, HM soups can be really filling too.

My menu today was cheap enough:

B: HEB porage, HEA milk, banana
L: LO casserole (made last night with chicken thighs and finished off today minus meat)
D: spaghetti bolognese (from freezer, padded out with carrots, onions, peppers, mushrooms)
    Syns: small orange juice

WI for me tomorrow. I was 0.5lbs below target last week so I'm looking out my heaviest clothes!;)

I'm reading this and I think you are saying you find eating healthily expensive? Is that right? I don't find it any more expensive - fresh ingredients are usually cheaper than frozen ready made meals. Likewise fresh veg against washed/diced pkts of veg and fresh sauces against jars of sauces and pkts to add to foods.

Look at the SW site there are masses of recipes on there. :)
