Thanks RFD, theres a recipe on the SW site for cumin scented Falafals (syn free!! on EE and green) so giving them ago and yes pitta would be 2nd heb.

    Recipe -

    ingredients

1 onion, peeled and finely chopped
1 carrot, peeled and coarsely grated
2x 400g cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped
2cm piece root ginger, peeled and finely grated
    2 tsp ground cumin
    1 tsp chilli powder
    1 tsp ground coriander
3 tbsp very finely chopped fresh coriander
    1 small egg
    salt
    low calorie cooking spray
paprika and fat-free natural yogurt, to serve

    method

    1. Place the onion, carrot, chickpeas, garlic, ginger, cumin, chilli powder and the ground and fresh coriander in a food processor. Pulse and process for 1-2 minutes until blended but still fairly chunky in texture.
    2. Transfer the mixture into a mixing bowl. Lightly beat the egg and add to the mixture. Season with salt and, using your fingers, mix thoroughly to combine. Cover and chill in the fridge for 6-8 hours to firm up and allow the flavours to develop.

    3. Preheat the oven to 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 6. Line a large baking sheet with baking parchment and spray lightly with low calorie cooking spray. Shape the chickpea mixture into 24 bite-sized balls and place on the prepared baking sheet. Spray lightly with low calorie cooking spray and cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden and firm. Serve warm, sprinkled with paprika and the yogurt alongside to dip into.

    Hi everyone,

I did SW for a few months at the beginning of the year and i know it works and believe it is the healthiest way of eating. My problem is the cost! So i have no plans to rejoin but after reading all your comments i'm feeling inspired to give it a go on my own!

I was just wanting to know how you all manage it without it getting too expensive? Can you give me any good example menus?

    Thanks x

a very good friend of mine joined SW with me but wants to quit... but she was asking *and i havent got a baldy hence asking you guys :D*, what happens if she just doesnt go. eg, would they chase her for the ££ she didnt pay for groups she didnt attend?

I told her she would be better off being polite and telling the consultant but much as i love her, she can be a stubborn mule sometimes! usually once she sets her mind on something you cant divert it:rotfl:

hmmm im debating what to have for dinner tonight.... i REALLY would love chicken and broccoli bake, though its not very SW friendly, as it uses condensed soup....

im trying to think of something comforting that i can make *just me and the cat for dinner again* that is still good.... * week is due very soon and all i want is stodge and comfort at the minute... any suggestions? :rotfl:
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

When my daughter wanted to quit she just texted the consultant telling her that for her SW was impossible because she couldnt eat balanced meals on the plan - she hates carrots, mushrooms and oinons amongst other things and the consultant was pretty good about it. However, i have seen people miss a few weeks group and been told they can either settle the balance for those weeks or start a fresh because it was cheaper. Given that info i dont think they chase the money. But, i have heard the consultant saying she has had to pay to cover xxx weeks because they havent turned up and is at a loss.

For your cheese and broccoli bake there is a SW variation of it here in this link if you want to be 'good' but still have stodge - 4 syns on all plans. Or add chicken to it and still be in line with EE.
