Happy telly viewing Sanch!
I've finished emulsioning the room - twice! Am quite pleased with my efforts although I have very achey arms now.:)
I'll do the skirtings tomorrow and then its ready for the new carpet on Thursday.
The man came to have a look at cleaning the conservatory roof and gutters and I was pleasantly surprised with the quotation of £60. There's a lot to do and its a yukky job so rather him than me!
He also quoted me for the painting of the fashia boards - that will have to wait a month or two though.
Going to have some tea, a nice long soak in the bath and a sit down to watch some telly - I deserve a rest!0 -
wow that was speedy decorating WW, well done... do you want to come and do mine?
Sanch hope you enjoyed your afternoons viewing
I finished cleaning the oven (box is oven pride, which was great on the shelves but only about 80% off the bottom of the oven ...mind you it was minging), got 3 loads of washing done and dried on the line, and then spent the afternoon watching Skyfall.... cant beat a bit of bond

Daniel then rode over to my house where he is currently painting the skirtings...:rotfl: I refuse to buy him Daddies sauce though, HP only in my house, he had a little moan about it but shut up when I threatened him with eviction. He's quite demanding sometimes......0

Well, skirtings and window sill painted and it looks much better now with very pale green walls and bright white woodwork. All nice and clean. Have taken up the carpet and need to get it to the tip somehow (only have a little car) so I'm all set for the new carpet on Thursday
Will wait for the paint to dry and then the new curtains and lightshade can go up - one less job to do.
Managed to use up a pot of gloss that was half used too so the one I bought this morning can go back to the shop.:) Must fish the receipt out of the bin.:o
Have decided to take the dog on a long walk this afternoon to burn off the vanilla slice that shouted to me from Greggs window this morning :shhh: - 350 cals!! I'll be walking to Liverpool!
Then I'm forcing myself to do some marking.....0 -
Cant believe it... had to phone NS&i today and phone number is 0500 007 007.... just read my meters for gas & electric and last 3 digits are (you guessed it) 007
Maybe Daniel is trying to send me a subliminal sos to help him escape from the menial painting tasks he is forced to perform by WW:D

Hey Skint, think you are clutching at straws there ... next thing you will be buying Daddies sauce in the supermarket when it naturally falls off the shelf into your trolley ........
I have to admit I quite like John Nettles too though, he has got better as he's got older ... !!!!
Oh well, having a wine now as work tomorrow. Planted my "second early" seed potatoes today and put some soil in planters ready for some nice colourful plants for when the weather gets warmer. Been to my usual haunt too today as didnt go on Saturday (Aldi) and indulged in the plum crumble wow absolutely lovely. Nearly as good as the cherry custard tart .....
I need to put a bit of weight on (seriously) so ate all the crumble. Think it was for four people, but I scoffed it all no probs.
Going to take a leaf out of your book WW and do some spring cleaning at the weekend. Plus look into joining the posh gym x0 -
Sanch - theres a deal on Groupon today for 10 day passes at LA Fitness for £19. Might be useful for you? I went mad and bought it - just have to go now!
Daniel is now officially up for grabs Gripppers- turns out he's not very good with gloss....0 -
Had a pretty productive day - done two lots of schoolwork from the list that needs doing. Its not that bad once you get started, its getting going thats the hard part.:o
Have walked the dog twice too and am currently trying to talk myself into going to the gym to use the voucher for the first time.
Again, its not that bad once you start......:)0
