Brilliant!
Just back from a very brisk 3km dogwalk - took 30 mins against a very strong freezing cold wind.
Done now though so feel better for it.:)0 -
Good luck with the plan WW. I wont be joining in on this one as I have my parents coming to stay on monday for 10 days so will probably be lots of social drinking and eating
Hope you enjoyed the theatre Sanch !
Had a really nice night out on thursday with friends. Much chat and laughter and the meal was really nice. Used prezz0 voucher (buy 2 mains get the cheapest for £2.50) and bill came to £13 each with drinks so v reasonable.
Had to get up at 5am this morning  to take DS to drop off point for his lift to martial arts competition. Its freezing cold and torrential rain here in the south. When I got home I got back into bed and managed to eventually fall back to sleep once I had defrosted and could feel my legs again !
Tomorrow morning he is off to field gun crew practice and then we are going shopping for the suit.
Not much planned for today. Must sort spare room and make up the bed for parents arrival on Monday. Will probably pop to see a friend for coffee this afternoon. The rain has stopped (for now) but doubt washing will dry on the line so may have to use airers. Feeling very lazy today. Must get up and get on now

Good luck with the suit shopping Skint - hope you had a relaxing day after your early start.
Kitty - thats good news about the blood pressure and cholesterol. Jump on the wagon with us - I'm just being sensible and trying to do a bit more exercise.
I have seemed to fallen out of the habit of cooking lately so I'm trying to get started with that again - food is so much healthier and filling when its homemade.
So, for tea tonight I made the effort to make a cheese, onion and potato pie and an extra one for Monday after work to just shove in the oven. It was flipping yummy too - well worth the effort.
I'm going to have a think about what I can make tomorrow with maybe an extra portion for the week. This weather just makes you want warming, filling food doesn't it?
Had alitre of water so far today so need another couple of big glasses this evening. Weeing is the down side though:o
Watched a film called The Hole this afternoon recorded ages ago - it was really good, a British film with only a couple of actors. Have walked the dogs again too - thankfully they're sleeping now so hopefully won't have to go again today, its still horrible out there.0 -
Hallo Everyone
Lovely sunny day here in Lancashire, going to get a line of washing out as its so windy should be dry in no time.
Need to go out and do a bit of shopping and post some Ebay sales plus pick up an EBay purchase from the post office ... only a pair of jeans Im not going mad with my money
Had a nice weekend including the trip to see "Kill a Mocking Bird" which was really good. Spent a bit too much though, got a few things in H & M (I love that shop, very quirky) but I dont go city centre shopping very often, in fact hardly ever, so thought I would treat myself - CC of course. But will pay it off out of next months wages before the interest kicks in. I cant stand the thought of them getting my money in interest !!!
Going to have a quiet day today and finish work on Wednesday for Easter so its a short week. Time to recharge the batteries Grippers and maybe devise a proper healthy food and exercise plan? Dont want you other Grippers leaving me behind ....0 -
A slightly better day here today - sunny, windy but still very cold. Hope its starting to get better slowly. Fed up of the cold now.:(
Off to pick up mum and dad from the airport later - apparently its been really nice in Tenerife lucky b*ggers!
Just two more days to the holidays now - roll on Easter.
PS what did you buy Sanch?0 -
Hi WW and everyone
I bought two tee shirts and a jersey top with long sleeves from H & M plus a dress (which I will wear as a top with jeans) and a pair of woolly tights (half price) from Primarni. Plus a fleecy blanket for the dog from Primarni which he is now snuggled up in in his bed0 -
Sanch glad you enjoyed the weekend, well done on the bargains
WW hope trip to pick up parents from airport went ok
Just popping in with an update
DS suit, shirt & tie with 10% student discount came to £40.40 and he looked very smart, fingers crossed he should hear by end of week
The pain in my leg and foot which started on fri got worse monday, went online nhs direct which said phone 999 immediately  Phoned the doc and got put through straight away and told to get straight into surgery for examination of suspected dvt  Thankfully doc thinks not dvt & somehow strain or twisted tendon to cause swelling and pain in leg from knee to ankle. So am now on more stronger painkillers and sleeping most of day. Rest of day is a bit of a haze so will update when feel able.

Skint - hope you're ok? It must have been a real worry. Rest up and get well soon.
Mum and dad have been and gone quite uneventfully although it started snowing hard yesterday and I had visions of being snowed in with them
Went to a friends house last night for a bit of a gathering of female teachers and wine - always a good combinationWasn't too late, got home about 11pm but will suffer later from lack of sleep and a teeny hangover. I'm on a course today so its not an early start at least - the dog woke me up at 6am wanting to go out though
.
Last day before the 2 weeks off though - hurrah!0 -
Well I am absolutely kn*ckered! Serves me right for playing out on a school night! At least its the Easter holidays now.
Was asked to go out this evening but I just don't have the oomph. Must be getting old!
I'm going for a curry on Saturday evening so that can be my next social engagement:rotfl:
Going to have a proper day off tomorrow - no school work, no cleaning or housework and nothing involving effort. Need a recharge after a busy week.
Just checked the bank and its OK for a change - I have the phone bill to pay but there's enough to last until payday in 2 weeks. The social things arranged with the Spice group have already been paid for and I'm not planning any big spends but its always famous last words with me
Looking forward to an evening of sloth after the last dog walk.....0
