morning all, hi MuffinTops
Just a quick post before I get up and ready for work. DS has applied for a job Tue evening and got a reply yesterday (next day!) inviting him to interview on Monday :j
Its a junior IT position £15000 pa so fingers crossed. He still hasnt heard anything from the police re the PCSO position, apart from the email stating he had been successful in the first sift of applications, so I have encouraged him to keep his options open.
Need to go to town with him and get a suit. I think they are reasonably priced in M@talan and maybe BHS (?) anyway I have cut back enough to have saved the child benefit for the last couple of months so should have enough to get something decent without the need to resort to the credit card
Had a day off yesterday and managed to get some housework done washing on the line and a 30min walk, so feeling pleased with myself. Back to work today so I'd better get up and get on with it.....
How are you getting on with the 2 dogs WW ? Is the family dog behaving ?

Hi ww, just wanted to pop out of lurkdom to say I've ready your diary over the past few days and am totally inspired by you! I have managed to pay off my debt after becoming unexpectedly single in 2011, and am starting to rebuild my life with my ds. I don't spend enough time making myself fab as you say, nor exercising or eating properly, but you've inspired me to get a grip, along with all your grippers! I have subscribed, and hope to keep popping in for motivation

Hi Everyone
Been a busy week grippers and now all this bad weather and its nearly April ! Just been to the dreaded Aldi, silly me thinking it would be quieter on Friday than a Saturday. No chance, if anything it was worse ... oh well at least its done now.
Going to the theatre tomorrow with some friends and for lunch and drinks I have 40 pounds to spend (ticket already paid for) so I hope that is enough, it had better be grippers or I will be using the dreaded CC and dont want to do that.
Good luck to your son Skint for his interview. Yes you can get some cheap suits these days that look really good, hope he gets sorted.
Tara for now all x0 -

Have a good day everyone x
My poor dog gets a bit bullied by the little visitor even though he's twice the size he's very easy going and gets pushed around a bit. I still give him the biggest cuddles though to make him feel wanted.;)
Did you manage to get a suit for your son yet? Good news for him.prophecy_grrl wrote: »Hi ww, just wanted to pop out of lurkdom to say I've ready your diary over the past few days and am totally inspired by you! Hello prophecy! Get a grip with us! Its sometimes a case of one step forward and two backwards but its the trying that counts!
Sanch - what are you going to see? I like the theatre but am not a fan of musicals - bursting into song just seems daft to me.:rotfl:
Its flipping freezing here - not much in the way of snow (none settled) but its soooo cold and windy. Not fun walking the dogs in this.
At least work is over with for this week. 3 more days next week and then its 2 whole weeks off - hurrah!
I booked some Spice events last night - book club, comedy club night, mueseum tour and meal and a curry night. Need to get out over Easter to stop me just doing loads of schoolwork and not having a proper break.
Going to stay in the warm tonight (apart from one more 20 min dog walk) and have a nice long bath, read my book (almost at the end) and watch some telly. Might even go mad and have a Baileys!0 -

Hiya WW
Its "To kill a mockingbird" at the Exchange.
I dont like musicals either, on stage or on film. Prefer a nice drama or a thought provoking play. Having said that one of the best plays I ever saw was at the Bolton Octagon I think it was called "Blonde Bombshells of 1943" and that had quite a bit of music in it.
Do you ever go to the Cornerhouse, they show some good films there.0 -
Sanch - I'm very jealous! I read the book for the first time last year and loved it. I didn't know it was on in town. Might have a look to see if there are any tickets or performances still available. Hope you have a brilliant night.0

Think the run might be sold out but they could get returns.....
Will let you know the verdict but I know its had rave reviews so far0 -
Yes Sanch - its sold out as far as I can tell
Never mind, perhaps next time - hope you enjoy it.
Its still cold and damp here, a bit windy and sleety. Will have to take the dogs out soon, won't be fun.
Not sure what I'm doing today apart fron the usual chores of food shopping, cleaning and the general wekend jobs. My hair needs dyeing again so will have to get that done at some point. Need to do some exercise too.
Just weighed and have miraculously lost a lb - my period arrived a week early so I'm not sure what's going on there but I'm less bloated now at least.;)0 -
Have just been thinking about how to kick start myself again and have decided to give myself a 4 week challenge. Its just 28 days from now to Saturday 20th April so surely 4 weeks is a commitment I can handle?
The plan is to ....- Walk/run 100km - that includes brisk dogwalking but not the run round block strolls
- Cut right down on rubbish food - not denying myself altogether as I'll give up but to stop the mindless eating and to eat more F&V
- To drink more water - 1.5 litres a day - that will help both the complexion and snacking
- Do 2 alternative sweaty exercise sessions a week - swimming/DVDs etc
0 -
I am!
- Always drink 2L water daily
- Exercise 4 times per week
- Walk 1hr per day plus longer at the weekend
- Keep a balance with chocolate and biscuits - don't cut them out altogethet but keep a balance to keep at the weight I am now or a little tiny bit lower
