Have decided I can't be bothered with book club tonight - just too tired after work but.....

.....hurrah - the exams are over :j:j:j Life can get back to normal and I can just do my job rather than my job and that of an unpaid tutor for 30-40 kids every night! For now at least - the next lot are in May

Just done a quick house sort - run the hoover round, flicked a duster, eptied the bins and cleaned the kitchen - I always feel better when the house is spick and span. Have walked the dog so he should be quiet for a while and now can put my feet up. Planning a nice long bath, and some telly with an easy tea of beans on toast. Had some lunch in school so no need for a big meal and don't want to dirty my clean kitchen :rotfl:

    One more day to go......
  • WW well done on your dedication to your kids. I dont think teachers get enough recognition for the out of hours work they do, you deserve a rest now !

Well I've booked in to have my hair done on monday. Now I've got my new morags (specs ;)) maybe I should be more daring and shake things up a bit.

I've started looking at local courses too. Theres a breadmaking course I fancy, will have to ring for more info.

    Getting a grip !

Skint you are officially the Queen of the Grippers!

Daniel Craig is bound to hear on the MSE grapevine and be well impressed, especially when he finds out about the new hairdo too :):)

Morags and a new 'do! Get you, you little vixen!

I am officially pooped - what a week! I'm so glad its the weekend. I met my friend with her young son after work to take him and my dog to the park and they spent an hour running around and then went back to her house for a quick drink.
Just had a nice long bath and feel a bit better now.

Its the rugby tomorrow so with the usual chores, a bit of exercise and popping to the library that's the day taken care of.
Just looking forward to a bit of a rest and a break from work for a day.

    Morning Grippers!
Had a good sleep and feel much better for it.

Today's agenda includes dogwalking, maybe a little run, food shopping and the library, upstairs cleaning and laundry and then settling down to watch the rugby. Wales v Scotland today - a good chance of winning - come on Cymru!

Providing the weather is ok, I'm off on an organised dog walk with a new Meetup group tomorrow morning so will maybe try to do a bit of schoolwork today if there's time.
    So a busy day ahead.....

Dog walked and Shred done - feel much better for it.:)
Sometimes you just don't want to exercise but I always feel like a different person afterwards - good old endorphins!

Also been to Tesco and the library - off for a soak in the bath to finish reading my book before whipping round with the hoover before the rugby.

    Hi Grippers

Well, just got back from Aldi.
Ive been going there for years, from the time when you hardly saw anyone in there as all the shoppers were at Tesco/Morrisons/Asda. It was a nice relaxing shopping experience with good quality, cheaper than average food wine and household goods. You could always get parked and the staff were helpful and friendly.

How times have changed! The quality and prices are still good, but its absolute bedlam in there ! Packed with people, car park full, staff frazzled. The girl on the till said she had been there since 7 and was worn out! People fighting for fruit and veg, shoving past to get to the fresh meat and as for the freezers you couldnt even get near.

Contrast this with Morrisons car park (I only went to get petrol) which was two thirds empty. People just cant afford to pay the big supermarket's prices anymore.

What a shame now though that everyone knows about Aldi :(

Hey WW let me know how you go with the meetup dog walking :)

I know what you mean about the supermarkets Sanch - went to Tescos this morning and just last week the dog food I buy was £3 now its £3.48! In a week! Lots of other items had gone up too - 20p here and there - it all adds up to at least another fiver on the bill.

Managed to spend £40.07 on shopping and another £9 on bits for school and a couple of books.

Just phoned a bank account that I never used to transfer the £1200 or so in there to my ISA account, seems daft to have it in there when I got a whopping £2.50 interest last year :rotfl:

I now have £8000 in the "never to touch unless the roof falls in" account and a few hundred in other accounts for decoration and holidays. Feeling a lot more secure these days.
I still need to finish paying off the CC (which was at zero this time last year :o) but other than that I don't owe anyone a penny.

Legs are starting ache already after the exercise - probably won't be able to walk tomorrow.:)
